Indoor Aerosol Behaviour
Smolík, Jiří ; Moravec, Pavel ; Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Ždímal, Vladimír ; Dahlin, E. ; Drossinos, Y. ; Lapti, M. ; Lazaridis, M.
The results showed that the indoor aerosol concentrations depend beside outdoor concentrations and room geometry especially on ventilation and deposition rates. At higher ventilation rates the indoor aerosol concentrations approached the outdoor ones. This was observed for the accumulation mode particles.
Atmospheric Aerosol Composition Measured on Crete
Smolík, Jiří ; Ždímal, Vladimír ; Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Havránek, Vladimír ; Eleftheriadis, K. ; Lazaridis, M. ; Mihalopoulos, N.
A Berner low pressure impactor was used to collect size-segregated aerosol samples at Finokalia station located on the north-eastern coast of Crete Island, Greece during July 2000 and January 2001. Several samples were also collected during the summer campaign aboard of research vessel 'AEGAIEO' in the Aegean Sea.
The Effect of Various Activities on Indoor Particle Concentrations
Smolík, Jiří ; Ždímal, Vladimír ; Schwarz, Jaroslav
The contribution describes experimental study of effect of various activities at home (ccoking, venting, smoking, burning of candles or incentives) on indoor particle concentrations. Dynamics of individual size fractions in size range 3-20.000 nm is studied using system of instruments NanoSMPS, SMPS, and APS.
The Rating of the Relation between the Composition of Solid Matter in the Atmosphere and Their Sources in Selected Areas of Prague
Tydlitát, Vratislav ; Pekárek, Vladimír ; Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Šyc, Michal ; Vosecký, Martin
From eght chemical composition of aerosols PM10 and PM2,5 from two areas in Prague on the end of winter and in sommer in analogy with statistical analyses of other authors it was concluded which are possible sources of aerosols in the areas of measurement. For chemical analysis AAS, iont chromatography and X-ray fluorescence methods were used..Soil dust and fine silicates there are a very probable source of aerosols . In connection with realisation of a few measurements the existence of other sources (heating, traffic, cment kiln, industry, ammonium sulphate, nitrate iont) is discussed.
