Topography of the Jewish population in Highlands. A case in point Velký Beranov and Malý Beranov

This work deals sith the topography of Jewish population in highlands of Jihlava region, giving an example of the history of Velký Beranov and Malý Beranov villages. Jewish population in those two villages was not so numerous as in towns, nevertheless it comprised a significant demographic part of both of the villages. It also formel an important commercial social vlase. The pupils of the basic school in Velký Beranov took part in a project of the Jewish Museum in Prague, "The Missing Neighbours", which formed the motivation for my thesis. The participants of the project are searching for the life stories of "The Missing Neighbours" from thein own region. Of course the pupils of the Basic School in Velký Beranov chose their region Velký Beranov and Malý Beranov. A short treatise about Jewish Religious Community in Jihlava and its local inhabitants, as well as about the Jewish population in the whole Bohemia and Moravia, make also the cotents of my theses.

A contribution to the history of the Sokol movement in the Ceskomoravska Highlands. The Sokol union in Polna in 1869-1953

This paper, entitled "A Contribution to the History of the Sokol Movement in the Ceskomoravska Highlands. The Sokol Union in Polna in 1869-1953", describes the history of this association ('Tělocvičná jednota Sokol Polná' in Czech) whose activities often influenced the local historical course of events. The paper is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter gives a general overview of the Sokol movement. The first two parts contain a brief analysis of the circumstances of the foundation of the Sokol movement, the establishment of the COS (the national administration of the Sokol movement) and the subsequent development of the Sokol movement in the Czech lands. The following part briefly explains the history of organisation of the COS, including the establishment of its local and regional bodies, up to the 1950's when the COS ceased to exist. The key events affecting the COS eventually had an impact on all its associations, including TJ Sokol Polna. The next part gives a brief history of the Sokolska zupa Havlickova, the regional association which also included TJ Sokol Polna in 1894-1948. Analysis of correspondence to Josef Hlávka (Communication strategies, stylization of one Czech maecenas and self-stylization of the letter-writters)

Dnešní komunikační možnosti a prostředky se nám mohou zdát mnohem vyspělejší a vzdálené od písemné komunikace v 19. století, na jehož konci se telefon teprve velice pomalu dostává do soukromého užívání. Přesto principy zdvořilostních a komunikačních norem jsou univerzálně platné v jakékoliv společnosti či kultuře. Mění se jen normy a řečové modely. Člověk, který ví, jak komunikovat, ovládá různé postupy a prostředky, dokáže úspěšně dosáhnout svých cílů, ale i rozvíjet mezilidské vztahy. Úroveň, normy a modely komunikace také ukazují mnoho o mentalitě a každodenním životě určité lidské společnosti. Předkládám tuto práci s trojím očekáváním. Prvním záměrem je zdůraznit přínos interdisciplinárního přístupu ke korespondenci jako pramenu historikovy práce. Pokusím se vysvětlit, že různé formy písemné komunikace nelze zjednodušeně chápat jako historický text zahrnující v sobě "pravdivá fakta", která historik odkryje čtením a zahrne je do svého příběhu. Badatel by se neměl spokojit pouze s pozitivistickou textovou kritikou! Při interpretaci dopisů se nabízí použít psychologické metody k poznání záměru autora dopisu, jeho charakteru a vlastností, stereotypů jednání apod. Zároveň je potřeba odlišovat psychofyzickou osobu adresáta od jeho obrazu, který má autor dopisu při produkci komunikace (při psanQ "před očima" a...

Editor's activity of Czecholovak Academy of Sciences in 1953 - 1961

The work is summarize the basic features of edition activity CAS (Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences), the main possibilities for presentation of research working and its direction. But NCSAV didi not have any monopoly for publishing scientific literature. It was commit to the predecessorsŽ activities. As in the published works of the basic research (for instance series CSAV Talks), but also orientated to the popular science works. The study is parsing also the periodical production, which has been changing. Also was sketched the fees policy.
