Attacks on active network elements
Ščepko, Richard ; Kacálek, Jan (referee) ; Polívka, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the security of computer networks. The tasks of the bachelor thesis are the attacks on active network elements with the aim of the catching of data between two users. In the created structure with a stellate topology, the user stations have connect to the active element (switch). In the thesis, the individual ways of attacks and the significance of ARP proceedings to MAC addresses have describ. Several programmes have use in order to take control over the device. Due to a big amount of these active elements the source code of the programmes had to be alter. The work with the programmes ARPtool and ARPoison demanded the operational system Linux, in our case the distribution of Ubunt. The programme WinArpAttacker could be set off under the system Windows XP as well. The achieved results and the description of the practical part are discuss in detail in the summary of the thesis. The result is the catching communication with the help of the programme WireShark.

Novák, Přemek ; Polívka, Michal (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis consists of description of the laboratory network Cisco and any of its components. Furthermore, the possibility of network analysis according to the standards RFC 2544 and EtherSAM and description of the measurement using analyzer Vepal TX300, Fluke NTS II and Sunlite E1 used in lab reports. In the first task, the characteristics of network elements are analyzing. In the second task, parameters of Cisco network are examined and the third task is focused on the E1 frame.
Simulation of high-speed network traffic
Tuchapets, Volodymyr ; Polívka, Michal (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The objective of presented thesis is to study the theory of the high-speed networks of the type Ethernet, ATM and SDH and the introduction to their questions. In the first part of my thesis I am involved in the theoretical analysis of the particular networks and their contemporary use. I analyze the possibilities of the optimization of the networks both in the topology level and the level of the transfer protocols. The objective of my work was the finding of appropriate software for the simulation of the high-speed networks. I compared various simulation programs and I came to the conclusion that OPNET is the most appropriate and the most known. According to the assignment of the bachelor thesis I used the program IT GURU Academic Edition of the American software company OPNET. I simulated the four connections of the networks, I optimized and compared the results of original and optimized connection. On their basis I verified theoretical knowledge and came to the conclusion.
Integrated telecommunication environment
Tomeček, Jan ; Škorpil, Vladislav (referee) ; Polívka, Michal (advisor)
The thesis described the proposal for a wireless network problems. There are recorded and compared the characteristics of different wireless technologies. The possibility of voice communication securing is outlined and solutions implemented in the form of ZRTP protocol. The requirements for quality of service are discussed and the solutions to this issue are proposed. Other chapters are devoted to the actual design of specific equipment, including antennas and advance resource. The whole network is practically implemented in the mountainous countryside of eastern Wallachia. In conclusion, this work is network mate in terms of QoS (quality of service) and tested in terms of prioritization of voice communication.
Design of a virtual local computer network for educational purposes
Janošík, Martin ; Polívka, Michal (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The master’s thesis focuses on the virtual local computer network for laboratory usage. It aims to propose and realize proper network connection in order to monitor expected data flow. Thanks to the network analysers (software ClearSight and hardware NetTool Series II) it plans to pursue in detail the used transmission protocols of TCP/IP layers. The most decisive feature happens to be the right choice of appropriate network components and their precise configuration. Consequently, the thesis formulates a proposal of a laboratory task for the needs of students, which is also closely related to the actual problems. The assignment of the task will serve the teachers as a test pattern for measurement. The results elaborated in the form of the model protocol should enable later comparison of the recorded data. Another part of the diploma thesis is the working-out of well arranged manuals for the network analysers involved.
Design of laboratory exercises in the field of network programmability

The aim of the graduation thesis is to evaluate the current development in the field of SDN and the possibility of programmability of SDN elements using the application programming interface. The first theoretical chapter describes the following: the basic architecture of SDN, the traffic within SDN between its individual layers, the communication protocols Southbound interface and Northbound interface. The second chapter of the thesis deals with the programmability of SDN elements with the help of API. The third theoretical chapter describes the current development in the field of SDN. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to creation of two laboratory tasks dealing with the programming of the SDN API. Laboratory tasks include BIG-IP programming from F5 Network and routers from Arista Network. Programming is done using Python via REST API for BIG-IP, or eAPI for Arista EOS. The Ansible setup tool is also used for the same purpose.
Effective Usage of Transmission Equipment in Education process
Rosenberg, Martin ; Polívka, Michal (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The essential goal of my bachelor thesis was to propose effective usage of equipments, which are available for educational process in Accesses and Transports Networks course and elaborate tree laboratory exercises on these devices. All of my developed exercises contain detailed theoretical description, which is focused on actual thesis, layout of the exercise, block diagrams for better understanding of problem and detail instructions for individual measuring. After completion of guide, these exercises were remeasured and exemplary protocol was developed. The first task is processed with analyser PUMA 4300E. The main issue is to introduce the structure of E1 frame and measuring of pulse shape on E1 line to students. The second exercise is focused on analysis a structure of STS-1 frame, which is currently used in SONET networks. This practice is realized on TutorTIMS educational system. The last exercise is running on hardware version of this system, device TIMS 301. The goal is to introduce students the bit clock, regeneration of the bit clock and measuring quality of the bit clock. The last chapter is dedicated to device TIMS 301. The primary purpose of this chapter is to make the usage of the system more effective.
