DON GIOVANNI History of art, its creation and interpretation of the opera in the 20th century

The master thesis "Don Giovanni - history, its origin and interpretation in the 20th century" is dealing with an entire development of the opera and it reflects staging approaches of the 20th century. The thesis offers a brief analysis of the opera and the literary work it is based on. Furthermore it summarizes information about the origin of the work and its creators. Finally in the supplement there are cast lists of the productions of National Theatre Prague, photographs and pictures of the production in various opera houses worldwide.

The purpose of my masterš thesis is to present and to defense my progress over two - year - master degree study program at the Academy of performing arts and in this way to crown the whole five - year - study of opera directing at the university of art. First of all I preform the integration the work of art Jiří Antonín Benda into historical context, then follow: the conroversy about the choice of the title for my master´s staging, the description of project - realization, the primary scheme an the final result of the whole project. In my thesis I set in detail to the analysis of this Benda´s singspiel. I judge this work of art both from the classicist and contemporary view. I compare Shakespeare´s drama with work by Gotter. Not least I refer to the mastery work of art Jiří Antonín Benda.

The purpose of my bachelors thesis is a summary of three years study at the Academy of Performing Arts and defense work, which O have dealt with during the period of my study. As an opera director I consider the form of opera buffa and commedia dell´arte / which opera buffa proceedes from) a basis for the theater character of the still living theatrical shape. I tried to apply lessons from the history of opera ( that result into the turning point and dramaturgical knowledge of study theatrical forms of commedia dell´arte) in the students´production of the short opera buffa La serva padrona.
Michael Keprt - The Old Man and the Sea

This bachelor´s thesis discusses about a realization of the opera of Michael Keprt - The Old Man and the Sea in The Burians´Brothers Festival in Rakovnik 2007 and about a history of the pattern by Ernst Hemingway. This thesis looks on this opera from my view - from view of the opera director. At the end of this thesis is described a history before zhis premiere - culture history of Rakovnik Town and celebrities of this Town - brothers and also singers Karel and Emil Burians.
Igor Stravinskij: Story of the Soldier

In m y thesis I deal with life and work of Igor Stravinskij, concentrating on one of his masterpieces, Story of the Soldier. In the first part I write about life and work of this important russian composer,then I continue with the description of my concept and direction of the work which had its first night in November 2005 in theatre Minor. This thesis contains detailed description of the scene and costumes for Story of the Soldier, together with certain problems connected with its presentation. In my diploma thesis I mention personality of Charles Ferdinand Ramuz and Sergej Pavlovič Ďagilev too , both tightly connected with Igor Stravinskij.
G. F. Händel - Opera production, analysis of opera Alcina

There is introduced G.F.Händel personality and his production.In the following chapter, there is analyzed a story as a model for opera Alcina libreto.The last part of chapter contains L. Arioso biography who is an author of the epic " Orlando furioso".The analysis of opera Alcina is bringing near composerś access to his opus and also this work is extended by figure´s character. The following part Alcina figures and summary is closing up whole first theoretical chapter. The practical part is drafted from a view of a script and project of Alcina direction.
