Automatic measuring apparatus for impedance properties measurement of electrode materials for lead-acid accumulators
Szabó, Jaroslav ; Bilko, Radek (referee) ; Abraham, Pavel (advisor)
Alternative power sources for variety of applications are hot topic nowadays. Bipolar lead-acid batteries are one of these alternatives. There are still some problems to solve to make them possible to use commercially. Grid corrosion in sulphuric acid is one of them. Main aim of this project is development of automatic measuring apparatus to measure experimental cells of lead-acid batteries.
Impedance measurements of lead-acid accumulators
Vaculík, Sebastian ; Bača, Petr (referee) ; Abraham, Pavel (advisor)
The main aim of this paper is to contribute to the elucidation of electrochemical processes. These processes occur in the investigated experimental lead-acid cell. For this purpose, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was used. There are two methods of measurement presented. First one is used to measure impedance between electrodes. Second one is used to measure impedance of collector ribs inside positive or negative electrode. The results are represented by electrical equivalent circuits, whose elements are described in detail in the theoretical part.
Degradation mechanisms of lead-acid batteries
Pavlů, Michal ; Abraham, Pavel (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with problems of degradation mechanisms of lead-acid batteries. For a better understanding of the diverse effects that cause the degradation are analyzed and the physical explanation of each of the degradation mechanisms. The paper describes the measuring method by which they examined the different manifestations of degradation mechanisms. At the conclusion of works are carried out measurements in which it is possible to trace the manifestations of the various degradation mechanisms in lead battery taking place mainly on the active surface electrodes.
Improving of use properties of lead-acid accumulator
Szabó, Jaroslav ; Tonar, Karel (referee) ; Abraham, Pavel (advisor)
Lead-acid accumulators are the oldest and most common type of secondary cells. There are still some problems to solve. Grid corrosion in sulphuric acid is one of them, which reduced lifetime of lead-acid accumulators. The first part of work is focusing on a general theoretic description of lead – acid accumulators. Following is a description of the workstation and method of measuring. The final part of the text is measuring on an experimental cell.
The difference between the efficiency of public administration and private sector
Abrahám, Pavel ; Vláčil, Jan (advisor) ; Sekyra, Miloš (referee)
The master thesis answers the following question - Are the public or the private employees more effective in their work? In terms of the structure, number of majour factors driving the effectivness of employee's working styles are mentioned in the theoretic section of the paper. Followed by empirical research that investigates which employees display the type of behaviour that leads to superior performance. Final section presents recommendations on how such findings can help companies improve the behaviour of their workforce.
Monetary crises
Abrahám, Pavel ; Burgerová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Řežábek, Pavel (referee)
In this paper the researcher aims to compare monetary crises that took place in Southeast Asia, Russia, Brazil and in the Czech Republic in the 1990s. The first part of the work is primarily focused on the monetary crisis itself. The general causations and consequences of monetary crisis are identified and specific prevention measures are mentioned. In the second part of the paper the progression of the monetary crisis in the four regions chosen is described. Finally, in the third part of the work the roots of the crisis, the government reactions and the consequences for the economy are compared in between these four regions.
