Šíření informačních a komunikačních technologií (dále jen ICT) mělo v poslední dekádě dramatický dopad nejen na ekonomiku, výrobní prostředky a služby, ale výrazně se podepsalo i na společenském životě a životních způsobech většiny skupin obyvatelstva. Ve snaze sledovat stav a vývoj těchto jevů, provádí Český statistický úřad ve spolupráci s Eurostatem pravidelné výběrové šetření zaměřené na informační a komunikační technologie v domácnostech a u obyvatelstva. In recent decades, the spread of information and communication technologies (ICT) has had a dramatic impact not only on the economy, the means of production, but also on the social life and lifestyles of most population groups. In an effort to monitor the situation and the development of these phenomena, the Czech Statistical Office, in cooperation with Eurostat, is conducting a regular sampling survey focused on information and communication technologies in households and the population
