A concept for testing and monitoring of building structures – theoretical case study

A mere comparison of measured and analytical deformations, natural frequencies and mode\nshapes provides us with just a small part of the information contained in the data, especially when component- level damage prevention is needed. The presented analysis studies in detail a few criteria for evaluation of measured data, with the example of simulated plane trusses in respect to the ultimate limit state. It demonstrates the high potential of a systematic approach, while combining several criteria, particularly when using simultaneous strain and deformation measurements, as it documents the proposed Relative Mode Difference (RMD) criterion. On the other hand, the study points out the major limitation of practical applications that is caused by unknown inherent uncertainties of various kinds, providing us with the incentive for further experimental research.

Hodnocení pěstitelských nákladů, výnosů a kvality hlíz v podmínkách ekologického a konvenčního pěstování brambor

V roce 2009 byl na Soběslavsku, v nadmořské výšce 614 m založen pokus s odrůdami brambor. Cílem bylo hodnocení pěstitelských nákladů, výnosů a vnitřní kvality hlíz v podmínkách ekologického a konvenčního systému hospodaření. Byl sledován obsah sušiny, škrobu, redukujících cukrů, kyseliny chlorogenové, vitamínu C, dusičnanů a solaninu. Pokus byl proveden na dvou odrůdách brambor různé vegetační doby (Impala {--} velmi raná, Adéla {--} raná). Odrůda Adéla vykazovala průměrně o 7,51 t/ha vyšší výnos než odrůda Impala. Vyšší náklady na tunu produkce brambor byly u konvenčního způsobu pěstování. Z hodnocení vnitřní kvality hlíz byl patrný vliv odrůdy a způsobu pěstování na obsah sledovaných látek. Provedený pokus prokázal zdravotní nezávadnost brambor pěstovaných ekologickým i konvenčním způsobem.

ST2D - Software for Determination of Total Strains on a Surface

The new optical method of the total strains zone shape and size identification on a surface named "Method of Deformed Circles" was developed in ITAM CAS. Method is based on the optical observations of deformations of hexagonal grid on the specimen surface. Related software ST2D on Windows platform can determine field of strains, stress and energy.
