Setting the Communication within an Organization from the Perspective of the Organization's Management and Individual Workers
BICEROVÁ, Markéta
The diploma thesis deals with the topic of communication settings in organizations and summarizes its settings in three arbitrarily selected organizations. The diploma thesis has two goals: to find out how communication is set up between management and individual workers in organizations and to map whether and how supervision takes place and how they help in setting up communication between workers. The research is carried out using a qualitative research strategy using a semi-structured interview. An arbitrary selection method is chosen for the selection of the research set. The research team consists of 11 employees, of whom two employees are in the position of the director of the organization and one is in the position of service manager. The analysis of the results is done by open coding and axial coding, and a paradigmatic model is created. The obtained data is processed in the Canva program. Data analysis shows how employees perceive the communication settings in the organization in which they work, what benefit they have for the employees of the organization and whether they help to improve communication between them. Employees of organizations perceive communication as very important; they continuously work on the quality of communication and try to improve it. They perceive supervision as an integral part of the high-quality operation of the organization and at the same time they perceive that supervision helps both in improving internal and external communication, as well as preventing burnout and contributing to the psychological well-being of all employees. The diploma thesis contains a subjective evaluation of the quality of communication between workers, evaluation, and benefits of supervision, which can serve as feedback for organizations in which the issue of internal communication or the issue of supervision is addressed.
Limits and Barriers of Interprofessional Cooperation within the Residential Social Service of a Home for the Elderly.
VEITHOVÁ, Gabriela
The aim of the research was to find out the limits and barriers to the work of the interprofessional team of a specific home for the elderly. The research concentrated on the setting, functionality, and coordination of the interprofessional team by the organization's management, including its self-regulation and also the ability to work consciously with the professional multi-discipline. The method of qualitative questioning was used as part of the qualitative research strategy. Data were obtained from informants, members of the interprofessional team of the home for the elderly. Firstly, data were got through narrative interviews using the Focus Groups method with random groups of informants. Then semi-structured interview with 6 chosen informants was used. It was important to compare the position of the professional groups of the interprofessional team, from the data collected. The data provided by the observation method were also supplemented. Interpretative phenomenological analysis using Atlas.ti 9 was used to evaluate the provided data. The research was done in August 2023. The secured limits and barriers to the work of the interprofessional team are the benefit of the research. These provide insight into the issues of interprofessional teamwork, it means building an interprofessional team and, above all, its sustainability and functionality. Lack of staff, lack of coordination and communication, insufficient knowledge of the nature of the interprofessional team, insufficient management support, not enough harmonization, uncorrected position of professional groups, low emotional presence within the team were found. The main barriers were staff turnover, inconsistency in staff thinking, lack of shared goals, burnout syndrome, low external and inner motivation of staff. Limits and barriers to the work of the interprofessional team can be strategically processed. Through this processing, the management of the organization can further fulfill its mission and goals in the form of work with the capacity of human resources. The list of limits and barriers gained by this research can also be a confrontational material for other organizations.
Project Analysis of Housebuilding
ŘÍHOVÁ, Michala
The work deals with the organization of the building of the house and the possibilities of the construction solution. Turnkey methods are compared here, namely wooden construction and brick houses, as well as the possibility of self-construction. The diploma thesis was prepared using the methods of guided interviews with representatives of turnkey constructions, designers, and craftsmen. This information has been supplemented with real prices. For the investor, the decision between the methods includes the possibility of financing, the level of risk, the necessity of the investor's involvement and, last but not least, the time required. None of the three variants is worse than the others, and therefore it makes sense to consider all these variants. It depends on the investor's preference.
Issues of geriatric palliative care
ŘÍHOVÁ, Marcela
Introduction: As the number of elderly people increases, so do the demands for specialized palliative care. Therefore, this bachelor thesis deals with the issue of palliative care in geriatric individuals. Objectives of the thesis: This thesis aims to find out what knowledge nurses, in selected wards, have about geriatric palliative care and what is the continuity, of geriatric palliative care, between hospitals and nursing homes. Methodology: The qualitative research technique of the semi-structured interview method was used. Using the snowball sampling method, the research population consisted of nurses selected based on specified criteria. A total of 11 interviews were conducted with general nurses working in the South Bohemia and West Bohemia regions. The results were processed using the "pencil paper" method. Within the framework of open coding, 6 categories, 18 subcategories, and 154 codes were identified. Results: Nurses in selected departments are informed about geriatric palliative care issues and are still interested in further education. The results also indicate deficiencies in the amount of information being conveyed. Sending patients/clients in inappropriate conditions was repeatedly mentioned. Communication among nurses takes place through transfer messages or, if necessary, minimal telephone contact. Nurses provide standard care for geriatric palliative patients, but in some areas, they have an individual approach based on the needs and desires of the patient. Conclusion: The research results once again underscore the necessity of paying greater attention to the quality and organization of handover between hospital facilities and senior care homes.

Christmas in Children's Home
KOSTRHOUNOVÁ, Eliška
The bachelor thesis deals with Christmas in children's homes. The theoretical part introduces the children's homes in more detail and also takes into account the factors that influence the experience of a child who is placed in institutional care. It also describes the traditions, holidays and symbols that are part of Advent and Christmas in the Czech Republic. The research part was developed through semi-structured interviews with staff of children's homes. The aim was to find out the following: What specific traditions do children's homes observe? How does the staff communicate with the children about the existence of Christ Child? Is there increased contact with the family? Whether children go home for Christmas? What is the course of Christmas Eve? What organizations provide gifts to the orphanages? It appears that the teaching staff make an effort to ensure that the children are not deprived of anything during Advent and Christmas. In the children's homes, various traditions are observed, the homes are decorated and presents are brought, as in the most families, by Christ Child. The only difference is when the festive dinner takes place. Due to some children going home, Christmas is celebrated 2 times. Gifts to the orphanages are provided by many organizations, but also by individuals. The work is beneficial to a wide range of readers and offers a partially different perspective on the celebration of holidays that most people experience within the family circle.

How people with mental health problems perceive the conditions that make it easier or harder for them to participate in organised leisure activities?
MÍKOVÁ, Jana
The master's thesis presents the results of a qualitative research interviewing five respondents with mental health issues or psychiatric disorders. Respondents share their experiences with organized leisure activities, both past and ongoing. The research aims to describe how respondents perceive the conditions of organized leisure activities that facilitate or hinder their participation. Five main themes were identified in the respondents' statements: educators' approach, activity organisation and rules, evaluation or criticism, the environment, and parental attitudes. The research findings can assist leisure educators in understanding the experiences of individuals with mental health challenges. This understanding, coupled with empathy and a willingness to adopt an individualized approach, provides people with mental health issues a better chance to experience meaningful leisure time.
