Life story of the political prisoner Josef Staněk

The thesis maps one of the political trials taking place in 1950s in the communistic Czechoslovakia. It looks into the life story of political prisoner Josef Staněk who was sentenced to 16 years in prison in the political trial of Fürst and company on 31 January 1952. Later, his sentence was shortened to 8 years in prison. The main part of work based on historical resources reconstructs the whole court trial and the following years of imprisonment. A separate chapter describes the life of Josef Staněk before his arrest.From 1937 to 1951 he was a member of the police force. From 1 September 1949 he was the chief constable of National Police Force. Final part deals with the period after his release from prison.
Father Jiří Jiljí Bouz, the Legacy of the Communist Regime Victim in the Light of Archival Documents

The thesis deals with the life of Jiří Jiljí Bouz, the victim of the Communist regime. The first part describes the life of J. J. Bouz, his formation, study and personalities that significantly influenced him. The next part presents his activities as a theologian and teacher in the Třeboň region and his membership in several clubs and organisations. The third part describes his first and second arrest, trial, incarceration, release; it also brings the memories of eyewitnesses, and information about his stay in Canada and persecution by the State Security (STB). The fourth part deals with the judicial rehabilitation and the fifth one presents some significant episodes from the final period of his life. The appendixes I and II in the text section bring for comparison the biographies of two personalities that significantly influenced the life of J. J. Bouz, namely his brother, Václav Aleš Bouz (martyrdom during the fascist occupation), and his friend and co-worker, Dean Jan Jordán Dostál (forced emigration due to the Communist totalitarianism persecution).
