Stress, deformation and safety analysis of the generator stator loaded by nonhomogeneous temperature
Majdič, Petr ; Dobeš, Martin (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with stress, strain and reliability analysis of synchronous generator stator including an inhomogeneous temperature field. Using the finite element method, stress and strain are calculated, and from these values safety against yield strength is determined, which is followed by the life calculation of the most stressed weld joint and the determination of its possible damage during the period required by the customer.
Analysis of the influence of different weld geometry model on fatigue strength of a weld
Holeta, Aleš ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
The work was focus on the analysis of the fatigue life of a simple welded joint. The main goal of this work was to compare different methods of evaluation of welded joints and different methods of creating a geometry of computational models. Calculations were per-formed analytically and numerically. The numerical solution was performed using FEM. The problem was analysed in the open-source program Salome Meca and in the commercial pro-gram ANSYS Workbench.

Jednoduchá metoda navrhování stěn ocelových mostních nosníků s nízkými výrobními náklady - jeden z nových výsledků pražského výzkumu dýchání stěn
Škaloud, Miroslav ; Zörnerová, Marie
The main impact of the latest stage of the Prague research on web breathing is the derivation of simple user-friendly formulae such as to make it possible completely to disregard the parasitic effect of the cumulative damage process generated by web breathing. Thereby the way is paved to the application of simple economic-fabrication structural systems in bridge construction, consisting for example of singly-symmetric steel beams made composite with a concrete slab. Such systems substantially reduce the amount of labour needed, and hence the fabrication costs, and that is why they may in numerous cases prove to be advantageous and preferable for small and medium-span bridge structures.
Some remarks in regard to the fatigue analysis of steel plate girders with breathing webs
Maquoi, R. ; Škaloud, Miroslav
Possible fatgue due to repeated web breathing is reviewed in several respects with the aim to track possible recommendations for a realistic design check of plated structures.
The fatigue life of steel plate girders subjected to repeated loading
Škaloud, Miroslav ; Zörnerová, Marie
The limit state of the webs of steel plate girders subjected to many times repeated loading is affected by the cumulative damage process. This process brings about the initiation and propagation of fatigue cracks in the "breathing" plate elements. The paper describes the main aspect and factors that influence the "breathing" phenomenon.
