Kocfeldová, K. The proposal for the implementation of happiness management in a medium-sized company. Bachelor's thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2021. This bachelor's thesis is focused on the social pillar of corporate social responsibility, specifically on the approach to employees. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to discover the current approach to employees and the level of happiness management in the company VITAR, s. r. o. and subsequently to propose improving recommendations. The goal is achieved by a questionnaire survey among the employees of the company. Quantitative research is supplemented by an in-depth interview with the company's human resources director. Secondary data of the company are also used. Based on the analysis of primary and secondary data, the level of happiness management and the current state of approach to employees were evaluated positively. Only slight deficiencies in the area of provided benefits and education of employees were identified. The space for improvement has also been found in the area of interpersonal relationships. These findings led to the recommendations to increase employee satisfaction and motivation. The intend of the recommendations is to make employees happier in their personal lives as well.

The main aim of the thesis is to suggest the solution, that contributes to the development of the National park Low Tatras, which secures the conservation of the natural and cultural heritage providing the economic benefit also for future generations. This thesis examines the impact of the single stakeholders on the chosen areas, with the attempt to point out the importance of accepting the responsibility for their activities. Primary and secondary data helps to identify significant impacts of the headquarters of NAPANT, the business sector, visitors, and residents of the national park on the local economy, society, quality of life, local community and natural environment. The results of the research show that the total impact of tourism is positive on all of the mentioned areas except the natural environment. Through analysis of the destination, it is possible to identify also the ma-jor issue that obstructs achieving sustainable development in this location; which is the absence of the organization of destination management. For this reason, as the solution, the establishment of the regional tourism organization is suggested.
Mezigenerační rozdíly v přístupu k životnímu prostředí u studentů středních a vysokých škol

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the approach of individuals of generation Y and generation Z to the environment and environmental protection. The research results are translated into specific recommendations for the selected high school and university and into general recommendations for the management of educational institutions (secondary and higher education). The recommendations aim to develop environmental awareness among students and to enrich the education about environmental responsibility. To complete the work, a quantitative research and two types of in-depth controlled interviews were conducted at the selected high school and university. The research has shown that there is no statistically significant difference in the approach to the environment between generation Y and generation Z individuals, and that young people are aware of the current state of the environment.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the environmental pillar of Corporate Social Responsibility of Mendel University in Brno. The first section defines the theoreti-cal framework of the issue – Corporate Social Responsibility, each pillar of the CSR and activities in the environmental pillar. Then the benchmarking method is used for the comparison of Mendel University in Brno, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague and University College Cork. The thesis is completed with survey among students and employees of Mendel University in Brno. Finally, based on the an-swers from survey and the analysis of all three universities, specific actions and measures are suggested for the MENDELU campus in Brno in environmental pil-lar of the CSR.
Corporate social responsibility of the selected organization

The topic of corporate social responsibility (CSR) is becoming increasingly attractive, for both the media and companies or institutions themselves. The corporate responsibility is in fact of interest of individuals such as citizens, employees and customers. It is important to realize, that social responsibility is no longer considered just as a contribuliton to charity. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate how the selected company approaches the social responsibility. Based on the findings, suggestions that could improve the social responsibility of the selected company are recommended. This thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defined social responsibility, its benefits, principles, criticism and other topics related to it. The practical part defines the aim of this thesis and methodology. The selected company, its services and social responsibility activities are also described. The thesis contains the results of a questionnaire survey, on the basis of which suggestions for improving social responsibility in a selected organization are recommended.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN CZECHIA: SPATIAL ASPECTS AND IMPORTANCE TO REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The thesis deals with the topic of corporate social responsibility emphasizing especially its spatial aspects and the impact on regional development. It aims to discover the spatial pattern of the so-called socially responsible firm activities in Czechia including the motivations for choosing this pattern, and to assess the importance of these activities for regional development. Particularly, it aims to present the concept of corporate social responsibility from a geographical point of view. The empirical research using the case of Czechia is structured into two phases. The first phase, based on an extensive research of internet-based sources and a questionnaire survey among selected corporations, explores the institutional context of corporate social responsibility in Czechia and follows the activities of particular firms including their spatial strategies. The second phase, using intensive research in two Czech micro- regions (Broumovsko and Červenokostelecko), particularly in-depth interviews with representatives of selected firms, provides deeper insight into the topic, reveals the motivations of firm behavior regarding social responsibility and sheds light upon the importance of these activities for development of the respective region. CSR activities of Tesco Stores Czech Republic a.s. in 2009-2010

The thesis focuses on social responsible activities of Tesco Stores Czech Republic in 2009 - 2010, puts them into context of marketing communication and analyses them, using three basic pillars of CSR - economic, social and environmental. First the concept of CSR and its establishment is described along with the parts it includes and the instruments it provides for a corporation - also from the standpoint of marketing. The key terms needed for following description of activities are defined and the thesis doesn't avoid the topic of critics of CSR. In the next part, Tesco Stores Czech Republic is introduced to be the subject of a case study. Only years 2009 and 2010 were selected for this purpose, nevertheless, this period is rich for a wide range of CSR activities. Described activities will be separately evaluated using the three pillars of CSR and will be a subject of a critique. External communication of topics of corporate social responsibility is analyzed separately. The final chapter summarizes conclusions from previous analyses, evaluates them in the context of actual state of affairs, trends in the field of CSR and also the market on which Tesco acts.
Strategic Management in the Non-Profit Sector - Suggested Strategy for the Enterprise Leaders Platform

This work presents a case-study of application of the standard strategic framework to a specific non-profit organization in the Czech Republic. This organization is struggling with financial problems and with lack of competitive advantage. In the first part of the work, results of the external and internal audits are used to formulate a medium-term strategy for the organization. The process identified following key areas: strategic financial management, employee training and education and continuous improvement of quality of services. These areas are further developed into strategic goals and initiatives using a strategic management system Balanced Scorecard (BSC). Each perspective of BSC contains an example of the cause-effect relationship of selected initiatives. The output of the model is a matrix of scorecard measures which forms a basis for strategic management in the organization. Finally, early steps for the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard for a period of six months are identified. The aim of the thesis is to point out the space in the social work's system in the Czech republic and to find out the possibilities of employing a social worker at a selected employer, as part of the company structure. A social worker would help with employer's CSR programme and further cultivate their environment. The thesis' topic is described both from a theoretical point of view and through the lens of its impact in practice. The practical part is processed with a qualitative research strategy using the semi-structured interview technique.
