Annotation: This thesis will address the view of the state of man in paradise and the state of man at the moment of disobedience that occurred through an act of man's will contrary to the manifested will of the Creator communicated to the creature through reason and will. It will describe the condition of man who, through his incarnation, was accepted by the Son of God, namely Jesus Christ. This incarnation is a historical event and encourages man to follow the one who incarnated him. In doing so, man can participate in building the kingdom of God here on Earth. The transformation of life of Sisters of Mercy of St Charles Borromeo in Bohemia in the context of the 20th-century: a reflection of changes in the experience of charisma and spirituality of the Congregation

Master thesis "The transformation of the life of Sisters of Mercy of St. Charles Borromeo in Bohemia in the context of the 20th century: a reflection of changes in the experience of charisma and spirituality of the Congregation" is based on the assumption that a significant feature of the religious life as an organic part of the church is its historical character, which leads again and again to the transformation of the own charisma into the specific spirituality. The thesis is devoted to the Bohemian branch of the Sisters of Mercy in the course of the 20th century. The general constitutive elements of the religious life and the specific features of the Congregation are described in the first chapter. The second chapter offers an overview of the most significant events and trends of the 20th century from the perspective of the society and of the church in Europe, followed by the third chapter focusing on the situation of the catholic church and Congregation of Sisters of Mercy in Bohemia during the 20th century. The final chapter discusses the essential elements of the religious life (the identity of the consecrated life, the community, the mission) from two points of view (the mercy, the sisterhood) and it describes the transformation of the life of the Bohemian Sisters of Mercy in the course of...

The thesis deals with the research of pictorial and poetic work, the motif of which is the Virgin Mary, in the work of the poet and painter Bohuslav Reynek. The aim of the work is a deeper knowledge of the topic and penetration into the Marian theme in the work of Bohuslav Reynek, based on Roman Catholic Christian pre-understanding, especially in the field of systematic theology - mariology. The work is conducted with regard to the literary and pictorial meaning of the subject. The main tool used is the available literature dealing with the issue.

Barbora Sadilová Title Augustine's theology of resurrection in the light of Sermones 361-362 Abstract The submitted thesis aims to present Augustine's theology of the resurrection. After examining the biblical foundations of the theology of the resurrection, the thesis deals with the concept of the topic by selected patristic authors before Augustine. The second chapter presents Augustine's doctrine of Christ's resurrection as the cause and beginning of the final resurrection of the dead. In the third part, the work focuses first on the biblical grounding of Augustine's theology of the resurrection of the dead and his controversy with contemporary opponents of the resurrection, especially with Manichaeism and Neoplatonism. Subsequently, his conception of the eschatological resurrection of the body is systematically introduced and his vision of the renewed world and life in it is outlined. This thesis focuses on the interpretation of the narrative of divination in selected late antique sources. The aim of this historical probe is to refine the interpretation of RomanChristian relations using the methodology of historical science and historical sociology. The results of the research demonstrate the complexity of these relations, especially in terms of intertextual strategies and the importance of the works in the religious polemics of late antiquity. The topic of hope in the works of Joseph Ratzinger

From the relatively extensive works of Joseph Ratzinger we will first look up more significant texts dealing with hope. Then the collected materials will be studied and we will attempt to analyze, evaluate and compare them. The aim of our thesis will be to capture Ratzinger's basic line of thought concerning hope. We will also try to contrast Ratzinger's basic conception of hope with other approaches to this topic which he has encountered during his life since from our point of view, these approaches were often either incorrect or too narrow- minded. Thus we will be dealing especially with Ratzinger's texts originating from the time of his academic career. Furthermore, we will analyze also the texts written in the period when Professor Ratzinger was invited, as the Prefect of the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith, to lecture on hope. However, in the section dealing with methodology we will attempt to distinguish texts coming from Ratzinger's pre- and post-Congregation career. Since the topic of hope is closely related to soteriology and eschatology, we will include these disciplines into our thesis, though only marginally. The mystery of Jesus Christ's life in reflections of guests and staff of Radio Proglas The thesis is written at the Department of Dogmatic and Fundamental Theology of Catholic Theological Faculty of Charles University in Prague under the lead of prof. Ctirad V. Pospíšil, Th.D. The main source of author's research is the collection of 230 minutes of Radio Proglas programme called "Myšlenka na den" (The Thought of the Day). This collection is analyzed form the point of the view of Christology and soteriology. The second source is the theological literature, especially the prof. Ctirad V. Pospíšil's monography Jesus of Nazareth, Lord and Saviour, which is used as the theoretical base of the thesis. This theoretical base is illustrated by appropriate texts from the programme "Myšlenka na den". "Myšlenka na den" is the everyday programme: a reflection, where its author contemplates and comments the events of the civic and liturgical year. It is a personal reflection of people of Christian faith. The authors of "Myšlenka na den", guests and staff of Radio Proglas, are in 90 per cents of Roman Catholic confession. The Role of Motherhood in the History of Salvation according to Pavel Evdokimov

The thesis is dealing with a topic of a motherhood in the history of salvation in the books of Pavel Evdokimov Woman and the salvation of the World and The Sacrament of Love. In the first part of the thesis is seen under the perspective of author the human being in the complex picture of a God's plan with the specific for the role of women in it. The main part of the work than is studying the role of motherhood of woman as a key vocation, which is possible to life in the physical form (in a marriage) or in a spiritual form (in a consecrated life). The last but one part emphasises the ideal, which Pavel Evdokimov sees in the model of Virgin Mary and the las chapter aims to reflect the role of motherhood and its importance for situation of nowadays woman. Roma locuta - causa finita. Authority of the Roman Bishop in the beginning of the 5th century seen through the letters of Innocent I

The thesis presents firstly the political and historical situation in the Late Roman Empire in which the Church was granted liberty. Through the historical events is shown how the theological discussions were jointed and influenced by the contemporary political situation of the Empire. Secondly, the life of the Pope Innocent I before and during his pontificate is presented and Nachleben of Innocent as a saint man, the style of his letters is involved too. In the same chapter is his pontificate described and discussed through letters, which he sent to various groups of bishops. These are divided into the following groups: Eastern bishops, bishops in Europe, boshops of Africa and the letters as a support for his friend John Chrysostom. In all these fields Innocent treats self-confidently, with the authority of the Roman bishop, but the kinds of claims to his authority depends on geographical location in which the letters are sent. Alongside the contribution of the basic introduction to the letters of the Pope Innocent I this thesis also offers the short excursion to the philological analysis and the selected theological topics (especially liturgical) of his letters.

This Bachelor's thesis "The moral and spiritual profile of a christian in the work called Paidagogos of Clement of Alexandria" deals with the great character of Christianity in the second century - Clement of Alexandria, his life and work in the context of his ideas collected in Paidagogos, which seeks answer the question of what it is to be a Christian in the practical moral and spiritual life. In thesis is first briefly outlined the life of writer and environment in which he operates. Furthemore, the thesis deals with issues of morality of the christian as one who is guided by Christ who is able to maintain its internal independence and freedom. In the part dedicated to the christian spirituality are treated issues such as spiritual path, Word/Logos, gnostic etc. At the end follows the evaluation of the contribution of this work for the life of contemporary.
