Paúrová, Monika ; Kotek, Jan (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Pavel (referee)
Title: Bifunctional chelators for selective copper(II) binding Autor: Bc. Monika Paúrová Department: Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Science Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Jan Kotek, Ph.D. Supervisor's e-mail: modrej@natur.cuni.cz Abstract: In this Master thesis, cyclam bifunctional derivatives bearing pendant phosphinate groups (4-methyl-11-p-aminobenzyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane-1,8- bis(methylenephosphinic acid)) and phosphonate groups (4-methyl-11-p-aminobenzyl- 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane-1,8-bis(methylenephosphonic acid)), were prepared and studied as potential ligands for complexation of divalent copper. These ligands are suitable for binding to a macromolecular carrier. Keywords: radiomedicine, copper, cyclam, chelating agent, phosphinate, phosphonate, kinetic inertness, kinetic lability, thermodynamic stability
Study of thermodynamic stability of complexes with polydentate ligands
Böhmová, Zuzana ; Kubíček, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Pavel (referee)
Acid-base and coordination properties of macrocyclic ligand 1-oxa-4,7- diazacyclononane-4,7-bis(methylenephosphonic acid) were investigated. Protonation constants and stability constants with Ca2+ , Mg2+ , Cu2+ , Zn2+ , Mn2+ a Ga3+ metal ions were determined by potentiometry. Keywords Potentiometry, coordination chemistry, azacycles.
Polydentate aminodiphosphinates
Böhmová, Zuzana ; Kubíček, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Pavel (referee)
Two linear aminodiphosphinates (H3L1 , H5L2 ) and one cyclic aminodiphosphinate (H2L3 ) were prepared and studied. Newly prepared compounds were characterized by NMR, MS and EA (elemental analysis). Acid-base and coordination properties of ligands were studied. Protonation constants and stability constants of complexes with Zn2+ , Ni2+ and Cu2+ metal ions were determined by potentiometry. Keywords Ligands, dissociation constants, potentiometry, phosphinates, complexes.
Contemporary Social Context and Possibilities of Employing Older People in Social Enterprises
Holasová, Lenka ; Vojtíšek, Petr (advisor) ; Šťastná, Jaroslava (referee)
(in English) The aim of this dissertation is to create an overview of elderly people employment in social businesses in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes a social entrepreneurship, defines it and gives its legal frame and examples of such businesses in Europe and in the Czech Republic. The category of the elderly is defined according to their characteristics and also according to the possible link to long term unemployment. The connection with the Age management is presented at the end of the theoretical part. The empirical part focuses on the overall situation of the elderly in social businesses and on factors possibly affecting their employment in this kind of businesses. It was found out in the research that the selected target group is one of those most at risk on the labour market. At the same time, this group is one of the least supported and monitored not only in the social businesses. However, persons 50+ may become a significant group on the labour market in the future. The final part of this thesis stresses out that it is vital to change our point of view on this target group and its support on the field of active labour market policy, but, above all, to make use of the opportunity to employ these people in social entrepreneurship which is described in this dissertation...
Evaluation of selected low-threshold children and youth facilities
Marková, Anna ; Dragomirecká, Eva (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Petr (referee)
(in English): This diploma thesis deals with the theme of low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. At the beginning of the theoretical work, work with risky youth, the theory of risky behavior and its individual types is approached. In detail, a low-threshold facility for children and young people is introduced, including legislative anchoring, principles, target group and individual working methods. At the end of the theoretical part is described system of social services assessment and current events in this area. The empirical part contains research methodology, research results and evaluation. The aim of the thesis is to compare the facilities of the capital city of Prague and the Central Bohemian region and to compare the ideas about the goals of work between the managers and their subordinates. A qualitative method was chosen for the research, when data collection was carried out using semi-structured interviews.
Proposal of a system of further education of social workers in direct contact with seniors in the houses of seniors
Kratochvílová Křemenová, Renata ; Matoušek, Oldřich (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with the issue of the further education of social workers who work in homes for the elderly in direct care with this target group. The aim of the work which is based on the results arising from the interviews and questionnaire is to design the content of further training for this specific group of social workers so that their real needs would be accepted. The work is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The content of the theoretical part is familiarising with the most commonly used theories in social work with the elderly in the facilities of social services, marginally, it is describing the social service system for the elderly in the Czech Republic, including the role of social workers in it and the importance of the training of social workers. The practical part presents the methods and results of the data analysis, research and the design of the content of continuing education of social workers.
Social farming
Prosová, Zuzana ; Šťastná, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Petr (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to present the concept of social farming and to see if it is a suitable method of social integration of people with health and social disadvantages. It is an innovative approach that brings together two concepts: multifunctional agriculture and social services. The theoretical part of the thesis clarifies the idea of social economy and social business. It also focuses on social farming in the Czech Republic and Europe. It defines its theoretical background, actors and sources of funding. The thesis examines the link between agricultural activities and social work, benefits and limits of the concept for employees, farmers and the local community, and further focuses on the current problems that social farming in the Czech Republic is facing and that hinder its development. The data was obtained through semi- structured interviews. The results of the research showed countless benefits for all involved. The biggest disadvantage was the ignorance of the concept and the associated underestimation in society.
