Design and realization of an optical receiver module for VLC purposes.

This work is focused on free space optical communication in visible electromagnetic spectrum known as visible light communication (VLC). Basic parameters of standard IEEE 802.15.7, advantages and disadvantages are discussed in the theoretical part of this work. Furthermore, optical link and it´s parts are described. The largest part of the work is focused on design and simulation of optical receiver for visible spectrum. Selection of component, noise and SNR calculation is discussed as well. This work also includes calculation of power energy in different parts of optical connection, PCB design of optical receiver, transmitters and power supply and output board. Behavior and parameters of electronic circuits, components and optical connection are explored, measured and compared with theoretical values.
Measurement of the optical intensity distribution at the far field

The topic of this master’s thesis is energy measurement of the optical intensity distribu-tion at the far field. Properties of the optical intensity and the optical power are described. In this thesis solution of wave equation is done. The plane wave, spherical wave and Gaussian beam are described. In this thesis, optical trace of laser beam from transmitter laser diode to receiver PIN photodiode is described. One of the solved problems is diffraction on the lens socket. The basic configuration for diffraction investigation on lens socket was created. There were transmitting laser diode, stop with circular apertures and PIN photodiode used in the experiment. In the other part, thesis deals with measuring and detection of the optical beam. Sorts of photodiodes and their characteristics were analysed.

The content of this work is the design and implementation of HW supported by SW for viewing subtitles into the movie, which translates from the projection equipment on 16 mm film, synchronizing subtitles with the movie, at the same time the work also addresses the issues of principle changes the distance of the canvas. Subtitles are loaded by using the SD card slot control by using the control, which is used to display graphics monochrome buttons that are also used for setting the device and its modifications.
Tax competition in the European Union : No need for worries?

High capital mobility creates headache in some of the European countries who afraid of potential race to the bottom in corporate taxes. They warn the tax competition can have a negative impact on tax revenues and redistributive motives of European governments. These concerns became more pronounced in the wake of the EU enlargement in 2004, when 10 mostly low tax countries entered the EU. Tax competition theories generally conclude there is a pressure forcing corporate tax rates downwards. Nevertheless, under certain conditions the race to the bottom does not have to materialize. Downward trend in corporate taxation is not confirmed by European reality either. Despite lower corporate taxes in new member countries enlargement has not so far led to erosion of tax bases. It is unclear, however, how corporate taxation in the EU will evolve in the following years, especially in face of new European Commission's plan to introduce Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base (CCCTB) and ongoing process of economic catching-up by new member states.
