Measurement of the vocal-fold vibration

The study presents the measurement set-up and selected results of experimental investigation of various dynamics and phonation characteristics of human vocal folds. The experiments performed with excised larynges were focused mainly on study of non-li or vibration effects and on creation of plaster castings of the larynx in a defined fixed phonation position.

The study presents the experimental arrangements and methodology for measuring the dynamic and phonation characteristics of human vocal folds. The experiments were focused mainly on non-linear vibration effects when bifurcation appears during phonation by changing, for example, the tension of the vocal folds.
