Decubital ulcers and possibilities of attending care

The Bachelor work treats of decubital problems and possibilities of attending care. In this work I describe ways of origin of decubital ulcers, the most frequent localization, classification, methods of reimbursement, treatment and of course prevention of origin (antidecubital medical tools, positioning, sufficient hygienic care, treatment of general health condition,…). By one of main indicators of quality in attending care in the Czech Republic is the regular monitoring of decubital ulcers. The work is specialized on the location of various methods of treatment and attending care in the sort of patients with decubital ulcers. There is described five casuistries in the sort of patients with the different degrees of decubital ulcers in the Clinic of Gerontology and Metabolism in Hradec Králové. The casuistries are obtained from the patients by the interview, which was inspired with The model of functional health according to M. Gordon.

Use and value of volunteers in medical facilities

This thesis deals with the work of volunteers in medical facilities. It follows the general view of the general view of the medical staff of volunteers. It indentifies what is volunteers are helpful and beneficial to patients and health professionals from the medical point of view personnel. The basis of quantitative survey are the benefits of volunteers in the Wards. The sample consists of field health staff nurse, orderly and a nurse. The survey was conducted in two teaching hospitals.Hradec Králové and hospitals Královské Vinohrady in Prague.

Social support of geriatric patients

The bachelor skript approaches the problematic of geriatric patiens. The point out human Society problem, vpich must lezen look after older generation. One of the main issue the geritric patiens care is preservation social welfare, its involvement and return to daily environment. Emphasis should be lay on preservation of dignity in higher age. The gerontologic care has thein own specifications. The main objective of this bachelor skript is qantitative investigation concerns social environment of geriatric patient. This investigations includes social support, source informations (about medical and social care) and level of independence. Investigated group of patiens is created from patiens age of 65 and higher, and hospitalized in Faculty Hospital Hradec Králové on Gerontology Metabolic Department. Those patiens were willing to fill in the questionnaire.

Quality of life of senior women that suffer from incontinence

This bachelor dissatation deals with the problem of female incontinence. Theoretic part is devoted anatomy lower urinary tract, physiology discharging and detail described individual kinds of urinary incontinence, cause, treatment and prevention. In empiric part I felt to valorize how the urinary incontinence affects quality of life. I also tried to find out how long was the time interval before the patient finds the medical hep and if there is enough awareness about the illness and its treatment. My research confirmed the fact that it is important to improve education and have enough Information available about this problem in order to identify the early symptoms and eliminate negative motions. The most important is to improve understanding of women's feelings and needs and to (decrease) eliminate the embarrasment rated to this problem.

Feeding of patients, seniors in hospice

v AJ: The bachelor thesis deals with feeding of seniors in hospice. The aim of the thesis is to investigate the nutritional state of seniors in hospice, their dietary habits, and their satisfaction with feeding. The importance of nutrition, the main components of diet (proteins, saccharides, lipids, vitamins, minerals, and trace elements), examinational methods of nutritional state, and dietary system is emphasized in the theoretical part of the thesis. Further, the trophotherapy and the methodology of seniors feeding are defined. The bachelor thesis is based on the quantitative research using the method of questionnaire. The nutritional state od seniors in hospice, their dietary habits, and satisfaction with feeding are monitored thereby. The created questionnaire was distributed to patients, 65 years old and over, in hospice in Jaroměř and hospice in Hradec Králové. Violence towards the elderly regarded by medical workers

97 Title: Violence towards the Elderly Regarded by Medical Workers Key words: elderly people, violence, abuse, Elder Abuse and Neglect (EAN), cruelty, neglect, medical workers, support, This Bachelor thesis whose title is "Violence towards the Elderly Regarded by Medical Workers" is aimed in its theoretical part at the issues of elder cruelty and abuse. This part describes individual forms of violence, highlighting the difficult situation of an abused old person. Substantial part of the thesis is focused on medical workers and their opportunities how they can help the abused elderly. In its research part, the Bachelor thesis seeks to determine the level of medical workers awareness of elderly abuse indications using a quantitative research, offering some possible solutions of this problem. Tested sample included medical workers, such as certified nurse - 56 persons, attendant - 6 persons, and medical orderly - 16 persons. The research has been performed in two medical facilities in the Czech Republic. The survey results showed how many medical workers during their practice met with abused senior. Whether paramedics can identify an abused elderly person and know how to act in such case.
