Risk Management Options for Testing Laboratories in the Context of Revised Standards of Management Systems

The diploma thesis deals with analysis and assessment of risks in testing laboratories, where the work with risks is an unrecognized area. A part of the thesis defines risks according to standard revision 17025:2017. Subsequently, these risks are processed by selected methods, which are used for qualitative and quantitative evaluation. Risks determination in the thesis is based on methods Risk Matrix, Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Bow Tie Analysis. Introducing possibilities and patterns of described methods to testing laboratories is the main aim of the thesis, this could be a way to increase their chance to get a new accreditation.

The Study of Production Process Optimalization

This bachelor thesis deals with the study of optimization of production process in the selected company called Cement Hranice, which is engaged in manufacturing of cement products. The first chapter provides information about the company. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on introduction of concepts related to the process of control and manufacturing process itself. In the second part of the thesis the analysis of the production process of the selected company is performed, leading to identification of the potential areas for improvement. The outcome of the thesis is the proposal to implement described solutions to the manufacturing process with the aim to remove deficiency in the production.
