Biodegradabilní plasty a přírodní materiály, jejich zhodnocení a odstranění
Radová, Kateřina
The thesis deals with biodegradable plastics and natural materials. The main aim is to evaluate the increasing production of waste from the mentioned materials closely related to the methods of waste management and the legislative background concerning biodegradable waste. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part contains a literature review, which is based on academic sources. The practical part evaluates the degree of chosen samples of biodegradable plastics and natural materials based on cellulose in period one year.
Social needs of clients in selected homes for the elderly.
JAKLOVÁ RADOVÁ, Kateřina
My thesis is divided into the theoretical part, where I describe the definition of the term senior, I also focused to old age and aging, I describe changes in old age for example. In the last chapter, I deal with the concept of needs. There are divided social needs in connection with the quality of life in old age, there is listed Maslow's pyramid of needs. The individual needs are described in detail. In the second part of my bachelor's thesis, I present the aim of the thesis, which is to map the fulfilment of social needs of clients in selected homes for the elderly from their perspective. There are also a research questions, how their social needs are met from the point of view of clients of social services for the elderly, how the social needs of clients are met from the point of view of employees and what are the differences between individual homes for the elderly in meeting the social needs of their clients. The third part presents the methodology and technique of data collection, the research set is described here, and the ethical side of the research is also mentioned. In my bachelor's thesis, I tried to find out the fulfilment of social needs of seniors in these homes by using questionnaire methods and interviews with employees from retirement homes (Horní Stropnice retirement home, České Velenice retirement home, Český Krumlov retirement home). The research file formed 12 clients from the Home for the Elderly Horní Stropnice, 12 clients from the Home for the Elderly Česká Velenice and 15 clients from the Home for the Elderly Český Krumlov. This number results from the number of clients who were able to complete the questionnaires. I also interviewed six employees from these three homes for elderly. The results of my research showed that in all homes for the elderly that I examined, the social needs of clients are sufficiently met. Some clients are not satisfied with the accommodation in a multiple room. The answers to the question of whether they feel fear are astonishing. Surprisingly, I have seen more responses, with clients feeling scared and some saying they should. I also found out that most seniors have contact with other clients or at least have this opportunity. Clients stated that they have the opportunity to talk about their problems and afflictions with the employees of homes for the elderly, which I perceive as positive. Clients very often use this option, talk to employees and also confide in them about their problems or worries. It is also gratifying that the family commutes to most clients at least once a week, rarely the family commuting once a month and occasionally once a year. Some questions focused on friendships and relationships between clients. I think it is beneficial for clients to be able to share a room with their partners and to share intimate moments with their partners. With this thesis, I wanted to help the general public to look into the issues of social needs of clients in homes for the elderly and it could serve as a guide for the retirement home, which are trying to meet these needs
Prima Facie Status as a Possible Solution for Mass Influx of Refugees
Radová, Kateřina ; Honusková, Věra (advisor) ; Scheu, Harald Christian (referee)
This thesis addresses the topic of mass influx of refugees and its possible solutions. It examines the concept of prima facie refugee status determination in group situations, which is plentifully used in states of the economic South as a solution to mass influx of refugees. Despite its ample use, it is not entirely clear what can be understood by it. A better way to tackle mass influxes of refugees is sought here in response to the European migration "crisis" which has shed light on the unpreparedness of the Common European Asylum System for a large scale influx. The prima facie refugee status determination is put here as an opposite to individualized refugee status determination, which is assumed by the western doctrine and practice to be the only possible way of determining refugee status under the 1951 Convention. Even though individualized refugee status determination may be an appropriate tool in times of relatively low number of refugees, as it has been the case for a long time at the European continent, it may be different in situations of mass influx of refugees. Such individualized refugee status determination is very costly and lengthy procedure and as such not very suitable for situation of mass influx of refugees. To answer the question of whether the prima facie refugee status...

Imaging in the diagnosis of mammary gland
RADOVÁ, Kateřina
My bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the disease of the mammary gland. Breast cancer is among the most frequent malignant neoplasm affecting mainly women. It need not be each time a carcinoma, also benign lesions are possible and may occur. The target of my thesis is the analysis and comparison of displaying methods used during the breast diagnostics in radiology and their analysis from the viewpoint of the task of the radiological assistant. I suppose that the mammography has an un-replaceable role in the diagnostics of mammary gland making high demands especially on the preciseness of the work of the radiological assistant. For the purpose of diagnosis specification also a sono-graphic examination of breast is applied quite often, including biopsy performance. The more and more frequently used method of breast examination, magnetic resonance, is the technically most demanding method for the radiological assistant. The base of my thesis was the spectrum of displaying methods used at the Radiological Ward of the Hospital of Písek and work with the complex of patients examined at this ward, where I have been working as a general nurse so far. I compare and process statistically individual methods. The result of my thesis is confirming the hypothesis that in mammo-diagnostics, the main and hitherto not replaceable role has the mammography which is, in most cases, the first method showing the pathological changes in the breast tissue. The mammo-graphic examination is supplemented in some cases by the examination of the breast by the ultrasound, including the bioptical examination. Thanks to the quick technical development of the medical equipment, the pathological finding in the breast is, more and more frequently clarified also by the method of the magnetic resonance. By elaborating my thesis I made up the survey of possibilities of displaying technology and I specified the role of the radiological assistant in mammo-diagnostics. The experience acquired with a specific group of women with the disease of the mammary gland may be applied practically also at other workplaces dealing with the same problem.
