Design of Power HIL unit for Li-pol cell simulation
Pribulla, Daniel ; Sova, Václav (referee) ; Chalupa, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and construction of a Li-po cell Power-HIL simulator intended for testing of a small wireless module's powering. The simulator is based on a battery model which includes the influence of temperature and battery degradation on battery parameters. To estimate model parameters a series of tests on real Li-po cell with capacity 250mAh were performed. Charging and discharging tests were performed by different temperatures of the battery. In purpose of this test a simple thermal chamber was constructed. Design of the power electronics of the device was tested in the Simscape library of the Matlab Simulink. The result is a working prototype of the simulator tested for charging and discharging of batteries with capacity in range 100-1500 mAh. The simulator can be controlled with graphical user interface capable of setting the battery parameters and real time observation of the model variables.
High-speed induction machine
Cajzl, Jakub ; Pribulla, Daniel (referee) ; Klíma, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the electromagnetic design of high-speed asynchronous machine. The introduction summarizes basic information that deals with design aspects of highspeed machines and choice of materials. The next part of this thesis is focused on the comparison of basic rotor topologies for high-speed asynchronous machines. The main part of this thesis is devoted to the electromagnetic design of high-speed machine and parametric analysis. In this part, the results of machine basic dimensions and parametric analysis are presented.
Energy harvesting generator for train track side
To by malo zvýšiť životnosť a spoľahlivosť zariadenia. S pomocou analógie magnetických obvodov a softvéru využívajúceho metódu konečných prvkov FEMM a Ansys Maxwell, boli navrhnuté tri rôzne synchrónne generátory s permanentnými magnetmi. Simulácia v prostredí Matlab Simulink dokázala, že výsledný návrh generátora je schopný dodávať priemerný výkon 5 W počas prechodu vlaku zo stlačenia pražca väčšieho ako 2 mm.

Design Of A High-Speed Generator For A Helium Expansion Turbine
Pribulla, Daniel
This paper presents design of an ultra-high-speed generator, propelled by a helium expansionturbine. The power output of the presented generator is 5 kW at 160 000 rpm. Very highefficiency, over 95%, was achieved thanks to the use of permanent magnet synchronous machine typeand proper material selection. Special care was taken during design of the machine rotor to meet bothmechanical and electromagnetic requirements. Only high-strength materials can withstand the load.Stator sheets have to be very thin, to suppress the skin effect and eddy current losses, especially withthe 4 pole configuration. It was shown that the design process for standard, low-speed machines canbe used with the awareness of it’s limitations. Weak points of the design, which should be furtherinvestigated, were pointed out.
