Optimisation of pressure condition in water supply systems
Sucháček, Tomáš ; Svoboda,, Miroslav (referee) ; Pollert, Jaroslav (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the optimization of pressure conditions in the water supply network. There is a deep theoretical and critical search of the state of the art and there are fields where there is an insufficient field of knowledge, the so-called "knowledge gap". Experiments are proposed here to determine the dependence of water consumption on pressure conditions. There is a description of experiments and way how it was carried out, which were carried out on the water connection, in the pressure zone and in the laboratory on the hydraulic loop. There is proposed a methodology of experimental determination of the mathematical dependence of water consumption on pressure so that it can be used for optimization problems, where consumption is considered as an optimization criterion. The results of individual experiments are evaluated and a critical discussion of the achieved results is carried out. Finally, the achieved results are compared with the values found in a deep literature search.
Problems of disposal with rainwater from a communication
Oprchalová, Marie ; Pollert,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Palčík,, Jiří (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
Transportation has unfavorably influence on a quality of enviroment. Increase of traffic leads to construction of new motorways and to intensify the traffic on current comunications. A consequence is more polluted hard surfaces, when surface-wash contaminate soil, surface water and underground water. Devices for treating contamined water, such as oil-separators, are very actual in these days. The subject of this thesis was to test the possibilities of increasing effectiveness of mechanical separator for light liquids by installing various types of constructions. Target was to determine effectiveness of this conventional technology, which is energetically and technically simple and find out applicability for first step cleaning and further usage.
Mathematical models of retention object of urban drainage
Pavlík, Ondřej ; Stanko,, Ing Štefan (referee) ; Pollert,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Prax, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with the use of 3D mathematical models of fluid in water management practice. Using 3D mathematical model was assessed retention tank Jeneweinova, which is situated on a sewer network of the city of Brno and is an important object of urban drainage. Retention basin designed to keep overflow from CSO chambers to Svratka and Svitavský náhon during storm events. Retention tank Jeneweinova is suitable for the assessment, because tank was designed bassed the Master Plan drainage of Brno using 1D mathematical model. Another factor was the physical model, which was build in LVV Vin FAST BUT. And finally, near the retention tank will be installed measurement on the sewerage network, which will be able to verify the results whitch has been predicted in this work. Mathematical model of retention tanks Jeneweinova was build in software FLOW-3D. FLOW-3D is a general purpose CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software for flow of fluid in steady and unsteady mode and uses computational techniques to solve the equations of motion of fluids. This software is mainly used for the calculation of hydraulic fluids, gas flow and heat transfer simulations. Results from 3D mathematical model has been compared with the values in the physical and 1D mathematical model.
Methodology of use greywater in the selected objects
Raček, Jakub ; Pollert,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Stanko,, Štefan (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
The concept of reusing wastewater in buildings has recently become more important. This is due to change in climatic conditions and reduction of the yield of water resources. Greywater can broadly be defined as not extremely polluted wastewater coming from basins, showers, baths, kitchen sinks and washing machines. The concept based on the use of alternative rate sources wouldn't need same strict parameters as drinking water. Dissertation engage in collecting greywater from basins, showers and wash machines separately from the other more polluted domestic wastewater at the dorms, the laundry machines, the hotels, detached houses, the swimming pools, the office buildings and other buildings. The research showed that membrane filtration meets all needed parameters of water quality and can be used in house systems where we use cleansed white water to flush toilets, watering garden or grass areas. There is still a lack of experience and documentation for such system of operation in our country. Systems of use of greywater in selected objects are detaily solved in my dissertation directed at system proposal.
Performance aspects in white water slalom
Bílý, Milan ; Süss, Vladimír (advisor) ; Pollert, Jaroslav (referee) ; Tomajko, Dušan (referee)
Title: Performance aspects in white water slalom Aim The study is a summary of articles published between the years 2006 - 2011. The aim is to present the researched issue of top - level sport in the example of white water slalom. Articles are arranged in accordance to the factors of sport performance. The first thematically include articles concerned with conditioning factors of performance, then continue articles analyzing somatic factors and at the end there are listed papers on psychological preparation and psychological factors. Methods These articles were mostly case studies which have been conducted on a sample of national team athletes or top athletes in the Czech Republic. The exception is the articles 5.3 and 5.4, which are descriptive studies on a large sample of top world class athletes. The studies used a survey and testing. Results The individual articles addressed the importance of performance indicators in white water slalom, applied to the selected factors. Results of studies are always subjected to deliberately selected files of athletes, top-level competitors in the Czech Republic and abroad. The results, therefore, cannot be generalized and applied to a population of white water slalom racers, but can show some patterns that could be accepted in practice.
