Phraseologisms in Austrian Journalistic Texts

The subject of this bachelor thesis is phraseologisms in Austrian journalistic texts. For the purposes of this thesis two dailies Der Standard and Österreich were chosen and the phraseologisms in them were studied for three weeks. However, not all phraseologisms were examined, but only those which appeared in both dailies in columns concerning domestic and international news. The objective is to compare the use of phraseologisms in these newspapers. This study sought to determine, if there are any tendencies to use the same phraseologisms to cover the same subjects or if certain phraseologisms tend to appear in similar columns. Furthermore, the phraseologism were analysed on the basis of the classifications of two prominent German linguists. The classifications are mentioned in the introductory part of the thesis.
Analysis of German youth language from the point of view of phraseology

Purpose of this work is to give insight into the contemporary language of the German youths. First, the phenomenon youth language (Jugend-sprache), communication and social media are discussed. Next chapter is concerned with phraseology, a linguistic discipline that is the base for the practical part of the Bachelor thesis. In the practical part, the phrases are provided with a Czech translation.

The aim of this thesis is to confront the book "Am kürzeren Ende der Sonnenallee" by Thomas Brussig with its filmization "Eastie Boys" by director Leander Haußmann. The thesis is divided into several chapters. Besides the summary of the story and the actual comparison, it for example deals with the individual producers and actors cooperating on the book or film. One can also find here information about the origination of the film and the book. In the appendix you can see some photos and film reviews. German rock: The evolvement of German rockmusic in 70 ies and 80 ies based on lyrics of Udo Lindenberg

The history of German rock in both German states is presented in this bachelor thesis. The history can be dated from the seventies, when the first bands started to sing rock musik in German. In this time, a new music style was created - Krautrock. The main topic of this thesis is German singer Udo Lindenberg, who made the German sung rock music popular. His personal life is presented and also his music carrier. Other musicians are in this theses only briefly introduced, but there are some of them, who helped in Lindenbergs carrier. Using an analysis of his songs, this thesis will attempt to explain why Lindenberg was so popular in the seventies and eighties, how strong his influence in the society was and, vice versa how his lyrics were influenced by the social events of the time.
"Herr Lehmann". West Berlin of the 1980s in the novel by writer and musician Sven Regener

The diploma thesis deals with the depiction of West Berlin in the 1980s in a novel by Sven Regener Herr Lehmann written in 2001, which was published in Czech under the title Ještě jedno, pane Lehmanne. The aim of the thesis is to capture the everyday life and atmosphere of the Kreuzberg district of Berlin just before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Kreuzberg district has been still the center of an alternative cultural scene. In the shadow of the Berlin Wall, this district is famous for its boisterous nightlife, dense network of nightclubs and openness to the world. The thesis follows in the footsteps of the main character Frank Lehmann, called Mr. Lehmann by his friends, because in the novel, he will soon celebrate his thirtieth birthday. In the theoretical part, the thesis firstly deals with "literary space" as an important phenomenon of literary science. This theoretical part is followed by the presentation of the novel itself and its placement in the historical-literary context. The analysis of the novel itself gradually presents the time and scene of the story, the atmosphere of Kreuzberg in the 1980s, the characteristics of the characters and finally the displaying of political events. In its conclusion, the thesis also propose a comparison of the novel with the film adaptation of 2003.
Forms of internal differentiation and their application in the textbook set Berliner Platz Neu 1

The diploma thesis Forms of internal differentiation and their application in the textbook set Berliner Platz Neu 1 deals with internal differentiation in the chosen textbook set for German as a foreign language. The thesis is devided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, attention is given to the importance of internal differentiation as one of the possible solution to the heterogeneity in the classroom. The thesis focuses on four main forms of internal differentiation - the methodological, social, methodical and work- organizational differentiation. Each form is further divided into subcategories which are described in details. The practical part is devoted to the actual research. Firstly, it presents theoretically the textbook set Berliner Platz Neu 1, its authors and its parts. The textbook set consist of a textbook combined with an exercise book, an additional exercise book, a teśt book and a teacher's book. The textbook set is analysed according to given criteria for didactic and social differentiation. The thesis highlights these activities in the textbook that are suitable for differentiation and comments on the possibility of further differentiation. Didactic work about the stories of Jim Knopf from Michael Ende with focus on literary and language eduation

Thesis Didactic work about the stories of Jim Button from Michael Ende with focus on literary and language education investigates the feasible utilization of a literary work within teaching a foreign language. Thesis is composed of both theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, attention is given to the importance of texts, especially literary texts, as means for teaching foreign language. In respect to the utilization of the literature within foreign language teaching, the thesis highlights the development of target competencies, improvement of language skills and the overall growth of student's personality. Literature is shown as a sphere competent to enrich the common language teaching with a literary experience and an intercultural aspect. Further, the thesis introduces Jim Button novels written by Michael Ende and their specifics from the point of view of their usage by teaching foreign languages. Last but not least, suggestions for work with the novel about Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver are provided as an alternative teaching material for tuition of German language as a foreign language
Maria Anna Mozart: historical figure and its literary reception

This bachelor thesis examines how the figure of Maria Anna Mozart, the older sister of the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, is represented in the literature of the 20th and 21st centuries. The first thing that is explored in the analysis is how the authors imagine her response to life events, the hardships, and the injustices of life. An important role also plays in the interpretation of the relationships within the family of Mozart and the family of Berchtold zu Sonnenburg, the spouse of Maria Anna, as these relationships are represented in the novels. An important part of the work is the description of various typologies of literary heroes as well as the methods of interpretation of the characters of a literary work and the specifics of working with heroes who have historical prototypes. In addition, the work contains a brief description of the life and fate of Maria Anna, which must help the reader to better understand the events and living conditions of Maria Anna, on the basis of which a comparison and an interpretation of the heroine in various works are made. It's a deep look at her character and feelings. At the end of this work shows that although the figures of Maria Anna are different in different works, there is always something in common to find.
