Electricity Meters Utilization for Advanced Monitoring and Control of the Power Distribution Systems
Bernát, Jan ; Pithart, Jan (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with a research of static meters manufactured nowadays usable in systems of smart metering. Static meters and their functions are described in terms of their internal organization, metrology and wiring. Emphasis is given to the description of new functions (detailed measuring, calendar, disconnector, communications etc.) which could not be used with induction meters and to requirements for measuring, for expenditure control, for safety of meters and for the concept description of smart grids. In a practical part of the thesis particular systems of smart metering will be described – AMR, AMM, AMI and their advantages and benefits during their deployment. The thesis includes also a catalogue of meters usable for smart metering, which is based on available information from particular producers. The final part of this thesis gives information about a pilot project of ČEZ company and about another possible functions of smart meters which could be of use in the future.
The quality of electric energy in a low voltage public supply networks
Vývoda, Marek ; Pithart, Jan (referee) ; Bok, Jaromír (advisor)
This thesis deals with description of qualitative parameters of supply voltage as well as measurement and data evaluation issues. Theoretical part of thesis describes basic characteristics of low voltage and limits based on standard specification. Next chapter deals with specification of measurement devices used for supply voltage quality measurement. The purpose of these theoretical parts is to introduce reader into supply voltage quality issues and can be used for preparation of measurement and acquired data evaluation under norm ČSN EN 50160 (Voltage characteristic of electricity supplied by public distribution systems). An analysis of real network is the last part of this thesis, in which application of acquired knowledge on assigment of real states of qualitative parameters of supply voltage in network.
Analysis of the economic efficiency of a solar system
Mikl, Antonín ; Pithart, Jan (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
The Master’s thesis deals with the processing of solar thermal systems for heating hot water, outdoor swimming pool and heating selected house. Introduces us how we can use the sun for the production of thermal energy through solar collectors. Furthermore, the basic components of the solar system and the types of collectors used. After this summary on the present state be the calculation of the system and fixing the price of the investment. The economic part of the evaluate if this system to invest, eventually appoint a return on investment.
Current Issues of Legal Regulation of International Carriage by Air
Pithart, Jan ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Dobiáš, Petr (referee)
English Abstract Current Issues of Legal Regulation of International Carriage by Air This thesis focuses on certain current issues connected to international carriage by air. Air transport is vital and steadily growing part of global economy. Rapid growth of the sector during 20th century also showed need for legal regulation reflecting its specifics. The first charter of the thesis briefly reviews developments of international public law since the beginning of the last century. International public law may be regarded as a backbone of legal framework of civil aviation. This may be said mainly about the Chicago Convention that not only provided essential consensus between states on basic rules for international carriage by air, but also established the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). ICAO may be regarded as an essential platform for establishing new legal framework for aviation on global level. The second part of chapter one deals with certain issues of international private law related to carriage. In this respect it describes development from the Rome Convention of 1980 to EU Regulation Rome I. Differences between the two have been briefly described in this section. Furthermore I deal with the controversial issue of choice of law in contract of carriage between the carrier and...

Distributed power quality monitoring systems
Pithart, Jan ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
Subject of this master’s thesis deals with the issues parameters of electric power and some possibility of measuring with focusing on norm requiring parameters. There are some distributed power quality monitoring systems described, which are available. The following chapter discusses the suggestion and implementation of the low-cost monitor with remote control for low-voltage networks. The thesis also concerns the using MySQL database for archiving measuring values and implementation of web applications for on-line presentation of the measured values.
