Device for demonstration of line coding

This thesis aims proposal and implementation of laboratory equipment for generating Line codes. The theoretical part describes digital transmission of information and the individual Line codes. The practical part deals with the design and subsequent implementation of the entire device. The results of this works are the theme of device an apparatus for printed circuit boards, software for microcontroller measurement and results.

Influence of the grease aging to its behavior in the vicinity of the elastohydrodynamic contact

This thesis aims to describe the differences in grease behaviour caused by degradation. Observation of EHL contact and its surroundings is done using optical fluorescence, which allows to measure lubricant thickness even if it is discontinuous and air is present. New grease is observed, along with samples aged in bearings. One sample was worked for 1000 hours, which was the planned duration of the experiment. Two other samples were stopped prematurely after approx. 900 hours. Several possible age-related factors were examined and strong link between contamination and grease behaviour was found. In observed cases, contamination was identified to be the leading cause of lubricant shortage near EHL contact, which is one of possible bearing failure causes. The results expand existing knowledge about grease lubrication topic, but much further research is needed.

The main content of the thesis is the design of the own boiler monitoring system. First the appropriate structure of the entire system is selected followed by the detailed design of individual parts of the device electronic wiring and selection of suitable sensors. The result of the thesis is the basis for the production of the proposed device and created service program.

Universal basic income as a political concept and unfulfilled social reality

The master's thesis Universal basic income as a political concept and unfulfilled social reality puts focus on the concept of universalism in social policy and the possibilities of introducing its elements in the Czech Republic. The global discussion of the philosophy of social support and the popularised idea of unconditional financial transfers from the state to all citizens are thus translated into the Czech environment. The goal is to evaluate the instances hitherto applied at home and abroad, consider the perks and shortcomings of universal income, set the discussion within the contemporary Czech social framework, and assess whether it is realistic to implement reforms of this kind. The first chapter describes universal income as a concept, the second evaluates the history of universalism in the Czech Republic, the third provides an overview of the current Czech social system, and the fourth ponders possible avenues of implementing universalist reforms. The thesis aims to verify two hypotheses: the first one is to determine to which extent previous forms of universalism in the Czech environment proved to be successful; the second deals with the possibility and merits of introducing further blanket instruments in 2020. Czech Senate in perception of electors. The Analysis in View of History, Voter Turnout and Electoral System

This diploma thesis deals with the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic in view of history, voter turnout and electoral system. The main purpose of the thesis is to present the Senate in terms of broad perspective, based on the analysis of selected parts of the political system. The thesis is a case study which includes an analysis of the Czech Constitution preparations, a voter turnout analysis with the main purpose to present crucial trends and simulation of some variations of qualified plurality rule on existing electoral results of the Senate elections. There is also the theory of bicameralism presented as a part of the theoretical part in the thesis. Based on the analysis the thesis presents extensive conclusions. In the view of history there are historical and ideological circumstances and also political demands of participants in the case of proposing the institution of Senate. The main conclusion on the view of voter turnout is that since 2008 there has been a continual decrease, particularly in run-off. The thesis brings two groups of solution in order that the Senate elections voter turnout might increase.
