Automatic testing of gas leak detector
Skryja, Petr ; Malinowski, Radim (referee) ; Novák, Marek (advisor)
This work deals with the automatic testing of an ultrasonic gas leak detector, which has to be tested during normal changes in the development phase. The reader will be acquainted with the basic principles of gas detection, design of the test product, software architecture its implementation. The following is a presentation of the application and instructions for writing tests. In this work, the Beaglebone Black development board with the Debian operating system is used as the core of the entire test product.

Wireless System for Evaluation of Lighting Control in Buildings for Obtaining Information Leading to Savings
Malinowski, Radim ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to design a system based on wirelessly comunicating devices that will be able to record an information about persons presesce in certain area. Aquired data will served for evaluation of the area lighting system efficiency. Partial goals related to this work are: to analyze electricity consumption mesaurement methods, to analyze presence and movement detection methods, to analzye wireless communication methods, to desin system's HW and SW including realization, to put system into a real operation and finally, to evaluate measured data.
Autonomous Monitoring of Person Movement for Proposal and Evaluation of Energy-Saving Procedure Variants
Malinowski, Radim ; Tříska, Vít (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design device that will be able to monitor and record movement of persons in certain area of a building for later evaluation of its energy efficiency. Partial goals related to this work are: to analyse energy efficiency of public buildings, to design a printed circuit board, to implement a C-language program to control a microcontroller, to put the device prototype into a real operation and finally, to evaluate the data collected by the device. The data is written on a microSD card in XML format using a Freescale MC9S08JM60CLD microcontroller. The resulting device is able to monitor a space for at least two weeks.
