The practical part of the thesis provides an analysis of the current state of the project company ZETOR TRACTORS a.s.. On the basis of knowledge of the system, the arrangements are proposed to improve it.

Bachelor thesis is focused on modern trends in technical measurements. The first part is devoted to the measurement status in the technical practice, the trends of its development and some selected analysis of these trends. An emphasis is put on the efforts of objectification of the measurement process to eliminate a man influence on its results. The final section shows new approaches to measuring with the example, which is a measurement of length – one of the oldest metrological tasks in human history.
