Here should the new social and education district takes place, what brings a new metropolitan lifestyle. Two objects of library and mediatheque end up the rows of rational city grid at this platform. They define the new open space in between as a new entrance area on the platform Sevelin. It becomes also the extension of library activities to the urban space. Here also the new metro station takes place. Concept of the library – “house in house, city in the city” creates the group of three volumes situated under one roof. The houses of adults’ library, youth library and administration define two atriums in between. Here the life of the whole building meets together. Volume of mediatheque steps up the row and shows the new direction of our culture and media.

Spa is located on the outskirts of the Swiss city of Yverdon. Area is surrounded by disparate buildings especially residential character. There are historical buildings on the land and buildings of the spa and hotel. The current spa and the outbuilding of hotel don´t meet requirements, that´s why the buildings will be replaced by a new complex. Neighbourhood doesn´t have any relationship with the spa, that´s why the whole land is surrounded by a wall. Water surface with three “floating” pavilions is inserted into this closed spa park. There are the public spa, the therapeutic spa and the part of the hotel on the water surface. Each of them works largely independently; they are connected by the water surface. The complex is separated by a part of shallow water from the park. It´s solitaire in the park, but it has close connection with it. The spa complex is located near the forest on the south part of the land, because the whole system is quite open.

New City Library is located on the platform Sevelin. It is the middle of three horizontal platforms, which originated in the early 20th century, filling the river Flon. These platforms were built warehouses, industrial halls and freight station. Important points of the concept was to keep the longitudinal structure of the area, its throughput, a link between the platforms and create a great public space, the center Sevelinu. One of the ways to close traffic and becomes a pedestrian zone downstream of the platform Flon. Place the main square, the embedded across the street for pedestrians, determines high-rise landmark library, which also defines its width. Library of determining the square as if trying to pull himself all public spaces. The façade is cantilevered, frameless glazing and attracts passers-by not only inside but also outside readers. The library is divided into two buildings, higher municipal library for children and adults, and special libraries comics. Entry is through elevated entrance hall, through multi-functional exhibition space and open up new green slope into the library. The library is moved by two core communication among them is the info desk. The front of the glass facade of the square are low shelves with free choice in direct contact with the seating. In the back of nuclei with high shelves desks. The library staff have their own entrance and communication core, which takes you directly to the floor or administration of archives.

Spa areal in Yverdon is a peculiar green isle in the context of the town, which is surrounded by a build-up area, so it is the part of the town in the same time. So I decided to propose the spa in more than one object to create a piece of the town - but lying in the park, which can bring diverse situations to the place and enrich the park not just for the users of the spa itself. There are three basic parts of the spa project content - so that three houses. Public spa with wellness, therapeutic spa and the hotel. There is large water face interconnecting the spa houses and a big hard surface as the counter balance of the water. In the design of the space arrangement my aim was to propose simple spaces with easy orientation within. Frequent motiv is the contrast of the opened and enclosed or the view-throughs into the further spaces.

Yverdon-les-Bains Thermal Spa is a group of elements searching for their identity since the end of the 20th century. The spa complex consists od several buildings built in different eras. Each one of the has its own strong formal identity whether expressed by facades, materials, volumes or spaces. All the historic buildings are to be preserved and new spa is to be designed to complement them. Potential of the new spa development is one of the most important values of the diploma project.
