Brzobohatý, Tomáš ; Janotková, Eva (referee) ; Pavelek, Milan (advisor)
The objective of this thesis is to create summary of emissivity of wet surfaces, emissivity of rime surfaces and emissivity of dry surfaces. The next objective is to create materials for termovision measurement and find the use for this materials for practice. Theoretical part of thesis deals with a theory of ways of heat transfer (radiation mainly), description of emisivity concept, description of emisivity finding ways and the show emissivity of mesuared materials from avaible sources for working hypothesis. Emissivity of dry, wet and rime samples were measured as the experimental part of thesis. Experimental part of thesis consist of experiment description, working hypothesis, measuring instruments and measuring area description, measuring proces description and presentation of measured results. Obtained dependences are benefits for termovision measurent, energy evaluation and the thermal state microclimate simulations.
Optimization of Cabin Environment in Small Transport Aircraft
Fišer, Jan ; Janotková, Eva (referee) ; Masaryk, Michal (referee) ; Patočka, Stanislav (referee) ; Jícha, Miroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with design and optimization of environment in cabins of small transport aircrafts, especially in terms of thermal comfort and quality of ventilation. The design of air distribution systems and structural design were optimized and most important parts of cabin design with highest impact on the quality of thermal comfort and ventilation were identified based on literature research and experience of the author. The chosen modifications and their influence on the microclimate inside the cabin were investigated using the CFD model, which was validated by results obtained from measurements of flow and temperature fields in the cabin mock-up of small transport aircraft EV-55. Next optimizations were investigated: The type of air distribution system, The geometry of ducts of air distribution system, Thickness of thermal insulation and Emissivity of internal surfaces. Thermal comfort was assessed based on the methodology of the equivalent temperature and comfort zones diagram developed by H. O. Nilsson and for assessing the quality of ventilation the concept of based on index of the age of the air was used. Fifty cases were simulated in total and base of its results Modified mixing ventilation with original air ducts geometry have been evaluated as an optimum. The ducts geometry of Modified mixing ventilation system was suggested by author specially for the thesis. In combination with high thermal insulation of walls and high emissivity of the interior, then this system of ventilation ensures maximum thermal comfort and quality of ventilation for the investigated range of environmental and operational conditions.
The capture efficiency research of REEXS with the work bench
Pavlas, David ; Pavelek, Milan (referee) ; Janotková, Eva (advisor)
Proposed diploma work provides capture efficiency measurements of generated pollution captured by reinforced slot exhaust system in modification with work bench using tracer gas method. There are shown results of capture efficiency for traditional exhausting (no radial air added) and reinforced exhausting (using radial air supply effect) in this work. This study also conatins the comparison and discusion of obtained measurement results with measurement errors and uncertainties.
Experimental Research on Aerosol Transport and Deposition in a Human Respiratory Tract
Lízal, František ; Janotková, Eva (referee) ; Adamec, Vladimír (referee) ; Jícha, Miroslav (advisor)
Human health is significantly influenced by inhaled aerosols. Insight to the aerosol transport and deposition mechanisms is a prerequisite for both, toxicological protection against harmful particles and efficient application of inhaled therapeutic aerosols. The purpose of this doctoral thesis was to gain new knowledge of this topic on the basis of in vitro measurements. Phase-Doppler Anemometry was chosen for aerosol transport measurement, for it allows simultaneous measurement of particle size and velocity. Results were processed by means of statistical methods and frequency analysis. Deposition of spherical aerosol particles was measured by Positron Emission Tomography, while deposition of fibrous aerosol was measured by Phase-Contrast Microscopy combined with automated image analysis. All experiments were performed on physical models created on the basis of the real lung geometry. New knowledge of flow characteristics, transition from laminar to turbulent flow, effect of breathing pattern or particle size on aerosol transport and deposition in human lungs are outcomes of this work. Significant effect of the oral cavity was ascertained due to comparison of aerosol deposition in realistic and semi-realistic model with cylindrical smooth walls. Acquired data not merely extended our knowledge of aerosol behavior in lungs but it can also be used for validation of numerical simulations.
Air-cinditioning of hotel kitchen

The objective of my thesis was to suggest and size the equipment for a hotel kitchen air-conditioning according to the given parameters. This thesis deals with the calculation of the amount of circulating air, heat loss and profit and the psychometric calculation for summer and winter operation. It also contains the design of air channels, terminal components, air-conditioning unit and ventilation of machine room. Furthermore, it comprises of the suggestion of measurement system and regulation, estimation of energy demand, technical report and list of material items. The calculation is equipped with drawing documentation.
The interactive graphical software for calculation of moist air states
Snášel, Pavel ; Janotková, Eva (referee) ; Pavelek, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create an interactive graphical software intended for calculations of states of moist air and marking these states in Molliere’s i-x diagram. The branch of air-conditioning is considered to be the main field of application of this software, so the calculations of basic changes of moist air have been included to this software as well.
Air - conditioning of office building
Balcar, Petr ; Košner, Jan (referee) ; Janotková, Eva (advisor)
The main goal of the submitted thesis is the design of central conditioning system used to ensure the required internal microclimate of office space and meeting rooms on the 2nd floor of office building, located in the city of Brno. The first part provides an overview of air conditioning systems and the appropriate central air conditioning system is selected. In the next part is designed the devices for air conditioning by building layout, properties of building structures, equipment and office space occupied. The work also submits drawing documentation, technical report and specification of materials used.
