Analysis of Financing of Development Strategies of Selected Municipalities

The bachelor thesis is oriented at financing development starategies of district Brno- Černovice. Public administration structure, territorial state administration, territorial self- government are defined in the theoretical part. Municipal budget and its content, municipal budget assembly process are clarified too. Theoretical part also contains grants, bank loans and invesment financing. The practical part characterizes selected publical commission Reconstruction of the sports complex and analyzes the funding possibilities. Based on this analysis are designed alternative solutions of financing, the inflence of selected publical commission on regional development is reviewed after the analysis.

Evaluation of Investment Plan of Kindergarten Construction

The diploma thesis focuses on the evaluation of investment plan for the kindergarten construction, what is a public investment project. The first part of the thesis is the theoretical part, which discusses the theoretical basis of investments, investment plan, investment and public projects, investment decision - making and strategic planning. The theory part also describes the feasibility study and methods of project evaluation. Within the methods of project evaluation, the thesis deals with the Cost – Benefit analysis. The practical part of the thesis evaluates the investment plan named “Nástavba a přístavba mateřské školy Elišky Krásnohorské 15, Brno “, where is also performed the sensitivity analysis and qualitative risk analysis. The evaluation of investment plan for the kindergarten construction is performed in the eCBA application.

Anti-adhesive activity of bovine whey oligosaccharides against Neisseria meningitis

RESUME Neisseria meningitidis, je lidský patogen způsobující život ohrožující onemocnění. Tato onemocnění jsou velice závažná a mohou být smrtelná již za několika hodin po manifestaci prvních příznaků. Proto je nezbytně nutná rychlá diagnóza a okamžité nasazení antibiotik. Avšak díky zvýšenému výskytu rezistentních bakteriálních kmenů se stává léčba i prevence velmi obtížná, a jsou tedy hledány nové způsoby terapie. Jedním z nových přístupů může být antiadhesivní terapie využívající glykanů, které zabraňují adhesi bakterií na hostitelské tkáně. Oligosacharidy a glykokonjugáty izolované z kravského a mateřského mléka prokázaly antiadhesivní účinky proti mnoho patogenům, stejně tak i proti N. meningitidis. Tyto komponenty by mohly být tedy využity jako bioaktivní přísada do potravin, a snižovat tak incidenci bakterielních onemocnění. Toto využití je však velmi ekonomicky náročné, a jsou tedy hledány jiné zdroje, které by mohly snížit náklady. Takový zdroj představuje syrovátka vznikající jako odpadní produkt při výrobě sýrů. Cílem této práce tedy bylo izolovat oligosacharidy z kravské syrovátky, separovat je na neutrální a acidické a otestovat jejich antiadhesivní účinky. Effect of Amino Acids Derivatives And Ceramides on Skin Barrier Function

PharmDr. Kateřina Vávrová, Ph.D. Title of Doctoral Thesis: Effect of amino acids derivatives and ceramides on skin barrier function The main goal of my thesis was to contribute to the understanding of behavior of the ceramides and skin barrier function modulators based on amino acids derivatives, as well as to elucidate the relationship between their structure and activity. Transdermal permeation enhancers are compounds that temporarily decrease skin barrier properties to promote drug flux. In the first part of my thesis, enhancers with amino acids (proline, sarcosine, alanine, β-alanine, and glycine) attached to hydrophobic chain(s) via a biodegradable ester link were investigated. The double-chain lipid-like substances displayed no enhancing effect, whereas single-chain substances significantly increased skin permeability. The most active enhancer - proline derivative L-Pro2 reached enhancement ratios of up to 40 at 1% concentration, which is higher than that of the well-established and standard enhancers Azone, DDAIP, DDAK, and Transkarbam 12.
