Wastewater management in the village Sudice
Hoferková, Lenka ; Mlčoch, Ondřej (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is written due to the poor quality of the stream Sudický potok and the fish kills in nearby ponds supplied by the stream. The goal is evaluating the results of the water samples obtained from the four local spots. Polluted quality in the stream in the Sudice town then proceed to design three various solutions of the sewage collection systems. The first option is designing the municipal wastewater treatment plant and the draining wastewater by single sewerage or sanitary sewerage. The second choice designs the domestic waste water treatment plants. The third solution is designing the sanitary sewerage and effluent sewerage to the nearby waste water treatment plant in Šebetov town. All variants are economically evaluated. In conclusion the first solution, municipal waste water treatment plant with the single sewerage, is recommended.
Variant studies of feasibility with storm water in municipality Dvorska
Odstrčílek, Jonáš ; Ručka,, Jan (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with management of rain waters in urban area of village Vendryně. It contents study with several variants which are optimized for the local conditions and consequently evaluated . Another part of thesis deals with balance of rain water management for standardized household.
Assessment of selected parts of the sewer system in the village
Balas, Jan ; Úterský, Michal (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The Bachelor´s thesis is focused on software products in hydraulic design and assessment of sewer networks. The thesis is consist of research part, where the commonly used programs in Czech Republic and abroad are listed. The next part aims to describe hydro-dynamic simulation model Storm Water Managment Model, which is free to download from U.S. EPA websites. The practical part deals with creating a model of the sewer network by the SWMM and hydraulic assessment of selected parts of the sewer system in the village Lipůvka, South - Moravian region.
Methods of remediation of concrete sewers
Vondráček, Filip ; Úterský, Michal (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on getting familiar with the methods of remediation of concrete sewers, including shafts by trenchless technology. The first part was focused on materials, shafts, methods of cleaning and methods of determining the construction and technical condition of the sewerage system. In the second and third part, the methods of remediation of concrete sewer by trenchless technology were analyzed. The fourth part talks about the remediation of shafts using trenchless technology. In the fifth part, the knowledge from the previous parts is applied to a specific section of the sewerage system and a solution for the remediation of this section will be proposed.
The efficiency of wastewater treatment plants
Singrová, Veronika ; Bábíček, Richard (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to compare the efficiency of several South - Moravian wastewater treatment plants, which fall into the category 500 - 2000 equivalent inhabitants. Real concentrations of the basic water quality indicators on the inflow and outflow from the wastewater treatment for eleven years are processed and the number of exceeded emission standards set by the relevant city authorities is evaluated. The comparison of the efficiency of waste water treatment for individual indicators of pollution is presented and their percentage is compared with the newest available technologies.
Operation of rain gutters
Chotová, Tereza ; Balas, Jan (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The first theoretical part focuses on rain gutters, their distribution, operation and cleaning. The pollution, pre-treatment of rainwater and rainwater management are alco described here. The second practical part includes testing of selected street rain gutters in the institute of municipal water management laboratories (VHO). Furthermore, these rain gutters are compared and evaluated according to these criteria: filter construction, amount of captured material and cleaning system.
Energy performance of membrane processes
Maršík, Miroslav ; Kubík, Jiří (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with energy demands of wastewater treatment plants. The content is focused on inclusion of membrane modules to the wastewater treatment process. Two possible options of wastewater treatment are compared; first, convetional mechanical-biological wastewater treatment plants with activation and installable tank; on the other hand, plants with activation with membrane module. In the practical part, three possible options of intensification are suggested. In the first part, new mechanisms for the plant are projected, in the second part, the energy demands of this tecnological equipment are treated, and in the last point, the item bugget is processed. The comparison of investment and operating costs is made in the conclusion of the thesis.
Minimum slope on the sewerage system
Vašková, Kamila ; Ručka, Jan (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of calculation methods to determine the minimum slope on sewerage systems. The thesis compares the calculation methods specified in ČSN 75 6101 and also the city standards of larger cities in the Czech Republic. When the comparison is carried out, it is distinguished whether that is a single, sanitary or storm sewer. The comparison is carried out according to available sewer material options and the sizes of sewer profiles.
Energy Performance of sewerage networks
Žďára, Jan ; Hluštík, Petr (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
First section of this master thesis is background research of energy demand of sewer systems. Intrudoctory chapter explains basic concepts. Second chapter is dealing with Czech and European legislation concerning energy consumption of water service. Third chapter describes energy demand of sewer systems. In this chapter there are described conventional gravity, vakuum and pressure sewer systems and components with major power consumption. Fourth chapter describes actual state of energy demand of WWTP and possible ways of improving power consumption of WWTP. Second section is a review of energy consumtion of vacuum systems of five different municipalities including one WWTP. Measured and evaluated outputs were used to create energy audit methodology for sewer systems.
Rainwater infiltration
Kračman, Martin ; Macsek, Tomáš (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to define legislative options of infiltration, retention and drainage of rainwater for household in Czech republic. Thesis describes not only rainwater, but also waste water, the quality and usage of them both. Furthermore, the?amount of usable grey water in household is defined. Then the systems for retention waste water and rainwater are desribed as well as technical principles of their design and purification of rainwater. In the final part od this thesis, the systems for usage of?rainwater and grey water are designed. Finally, the designed systems are evaluated and their feasibility is assessed.
