Title: A person with hearing impairment as a patient The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis introduces basic notions related to the acousticequilibrium apparatus, characterizes hearing diagnostics, describes types and levels of hearing impediments, explains communication means of people with hearing impairments, presents assistive devices for them, elucidates personality of these people and outlines care of patients with hearing impairment in hospitals. The empirical part is based on a questionnaire investigation among hearing impaired persons of age over 18 years old. It is aimed at mapping of type and level of their hearing loss, communication means used in daily life, at the general practitioner and in hospitals. The questionnaire examines if the people with hearing impairments understand written messages or need an interpreter and what experience they have with hospital stays. The questionnaire for medical workers with high school education or university degree traces their experience with nursing of hearing disabled, if they are aware of interpreting service possibilities for these patients, how they perceive communication with people with hearing impairments, and if the nurses welcome new information on this area. Quality of life patient with total hip replacement

Bachelors thesis is directed at perceived quality of life patients after total hip replacement. It contains theoretical and research parts. Theoretical part is consist of two parts: first part is about characterization of total hip replacement, second is about quality of life and their meaning at National Health Service. Research part is concern of questionnaires research. It passed of one hundred patients at Medical spa Bohdaneč. It compared quality of life before and after operation.
Communication with the patients with aphasia

The Bachelor thesis deals with communication with patient affected by aphasia. The first chapter of the theoretical part focuses on definitions of verbal and nonverbal communication, on communication in the nursing process and communication disorder. Then the thesis deals with communication problems with patients with special needs, augmentative and alternative communication. The content of the second chapter is aphasia solely. It explains the causes, describing symptomatology, classification, basic diagnostics and therapy. An integral part of the Bachelor thesis is a quantitative investigative research focused on the level of communication between health professionals and aphatic clients mainly. The 89 examined samples are paramedics working in the selected departments of a North Bohemia district health care facility. The hypothesis are set and analysis of their results are performed in this thesis. It was also described a case study for the hearing impaired aphatic client focused on solving his communication. Pursuant to the survey here are summarized evidences and the educational material for health professionals was developed.
