Vulnerability assesment and preventive measures of cultural heritage against flooding
Nedvědová, Klára ; Frankl, Jiří ; Balík, L. ; Šimůnek, O. ; Herbstová, Vladislava ; Kopecká, I. ; Pergl, R. ; Drdácký, Tomáš
One of the preconditions for successful planning is to estimate the risk of flood damage with regard to the construction resilience and constituent materials of historical objects. The output of this phase is software application and methodology for classifying the rate risk of specific constructions and materials and a reasonable estimate of risk diversification in different parts of the building. A special attention is paid to prevention and it tends to recommend suitable measures for different situations.

Analysis of vulnerability of cultural heritage against floods
Nedvědová, Klára ; Herbstová, Vladislava ; Frankl, Jiří ; Pergl, R.
Introducing first part of the project Methodology of Protection and Rescue of Cultural Heritage against Flood dealing with creating catalogue of damage on cultural heritage due to floods. The aim of this catalogue is to collect, synthesize and analyze possible known information about the damage linked with a particular object of protection and material.
Impacts on collapse behaviour of soils
Herbstová, Vladislava ; Herle, I.
Phenomenon of collapsible soils is a broadly investigated problem of the soil behaviour. A review of the collapse potential of different soils – sand and loess is presented. Various dry unit weights and degrees of saturation are interpreted in terms of the collapse index dependent on applied vertical stress during sample flooding.
