The topic of this bachelor thesis is The Qualifications of Paramedics in the Emergency Medical Service. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the characteristics of the emergency medical services, with the focus on paramedics, the urgency levels of emergency calls and the integrated emergency system as a whole. Furthermore, this part explores the issue concerning the legislation of paramedics; primarily, the acquisition of required professional competences in comparison with the Slovak Republic. Lastly, the thesis summarizes the qualifications of paramedics, as well as of the paramedics who have already reached the level of professional expertise needed for the practice of emergency medicine. In the practical part of the thesis, two goals were selected. The first goal was to map the knowledge of qualifications of paramedics working for the South Bohemian emergency medical services (Zdravotnické záchranné služby Jihočeského kraje). The second goal then was to examine to which extent those qualifications were being followed. The qualitative method of data collection was used for the execution of this research. It was carried out in form of half-structured interviews that comprised of 20 questions. The sampled group consisted of 8 paramedics from the South Bohemian emergency medical services (Zdravotnické záchranné služby Jihočeského kraje). The outcome of this bachelor thesis is the overview of the knowledge of qualifications of paramedics working for the South Bohemian emergency medical services. It points out their minor lacks in education and awareness. The thesis could potentially be used as a source for the teaching of paramedics.
Criminal procedure, the public and media
Havel, David ; Herczeg, Jiří (advisor) ; Gřivna, Tomáš (referee)
Criminal procedure, the public and media - abstract In the information period when classical traditional media must adapt to new manners of dissemination of information, there arises a conflict between freedom of expression enshrined by the constitution and the right to information, which the media use as a shield in their actions, and an increased emphasis on individual rights, protection of the individuality and personal integrity against external interventions. It is also demonstrated in the field of informing the public about criminal procedures. The initial thought to make the procedures before the court accessible to the public, in order to eliminate the risk of the so-called cabinet justice, aimed at the control of justice and protection of the right of parties to a fair procedure. The principle of the public procedure before the court had besides the control and guarantee role also the role of the means of prevention and education of the public. A publicly accessible procedure before the court should therefore lead the public to the respect for a valid legal system and its regulations, and also to enhance the trust in the function of judiciary and justice. With the expansion of media participation in the procedures before the court, especially in criminal matters, another dimension is currently...

Nutritional quality evaluation of school dinners and monitoring of food habits and their changes at students of multiannual gymnasium
HAVEL, David
The aim of this diploma thesis was to evaluate the eating habits of students at a grammar school. We directly monitored students of the first, third, fifth and seventh year of an eight-year grammar school in Trebon during the academic year 2010/2011. The research can be divided into several parts. The first part of this work consists of evaluating the nutritional quality of lunches of selected micronutrients and macronutrients and comparison with the standard requirements for the age brackets. The second part is focused on the diversity of diets in terms of representation of individual foods and meals. These data were compared with the recommended consumption basket. In the third part I monitored eating habits of students by using a questionnaire survey. In the fourth part there is a comparison of BMI values of individual pupils at the beginning and at the end of the school year, including the assignment of percentile. The hypothesis test was evaluated in the fifth part of this thesis. Regarding to the analysis of the various menus was found that annual energy intake from lunch of the students in the first and third year of a grammar school was less than the recommended values. By the contrast this is met by students in the fifth and seventh year of an eight-year grammar school. Annual protein intake from lunch in all classes reached the high value. Fat intake by the students in the first and the third year was in a range of the recommended standards. A slight increase of the macronutrients was found out in meal of students in the fifth and seventh year. The daily recommended intake of carbohydrate was in the average year-round directly lower; about 3,3% the first class, 3,6% the third class and 2,05% the seventh class. Lunch in the fifth year of an eight-year grammar school achieved the desired quantity. The analysis also shows that the intake of dietary fibre was at all four classes of students in sufficient quantities. The intake of calcium in all classes was lower than the recommended standard. The intake of magnesium was higher in all classes than is recommended. Lunch of students in all classes contains a sufficient representation of other minerals. The daily recommended intake of vitamin A in all classes was higher than the given recommended valueThe daily recommended dose of vitamin C was received in the amount of 108% in the first class, 117% in the third, 128,4% in the fifth, 125,6% in the seventh. According to the research vitamin B6 and B12 was received in excess. By comparing the diversity of menus was found that the consumption of yeast soup fails. Pulses soups were represented by the standard. This research also discovered the lack of meat-less/vegetarian meals, chicken and pulses meals. On the other hand fried, sweet meals and pork meat was chosen very often. It should be noted that diversity is influenced by the students themselves, by their choice at all. The survey shows that there is the same amount of students who have breakfast and the same amount of those who don´t. The eating of morning and afternoon snacks is likely rare. Student who took part in this survey also pointed out that they have lunch regularly in the school canteen. Nobody mention his/her distaste to daily consumption of fruit or vegetables. The fluid intake was inadequate in most cases. BMI for most students is in the norm. There is only a minimum of respondents with low weight, overweight or obese. Hypothesis testing has not shown that the missing breakfast causes higher BMI. The level of eating at the eight-year grammar school measured in the studied canteen corresponds to the most evaluated parameters to the nutritional requirements of children's ages. Consumer basket is filled, but the variety of the menu is influenced by the consumers themselves.
The prevention of drug problematic as a risical factor of criminality in Český Krumlov
HAVEL, David
The social environment at present is characterized by an increase in aggression, heightened criminality, and an expanded assortment of a wider spectrum of toxic substances on the drug market, combined with easier access to such substances. Children and youth are at present characterized by {\clqq}group crimes`` (extremist groups, sprayers, vandals, etc.) as well as crimes on property, often associated with the purchase and consumption of drugs. Brutality has increased, as has the intensity of attacks on person and property, and criminal acts are more organized. A thorough analysis of all these manifestations and trends would serve as a basis for the systematic steps towards their solution, but even more so towards their prevention. Work on the topic of Drug Prevention as a risk factor towards criminal acts in Český Krumlov includes a portion of criminal acts committed in the context of drug consumption in the Český Krumlov area as well as the attitude of second level elementary school and secondary school students in the Český Krumlov area towards the usage of drugs and their experience with drugs. The work also includes a prepared methodology of the effective specific primary prevention of addictive substances as a risk factor towards criminal acts for elementary school students in Český Krumlov.
The Influence of Both Legal and Illegal Migration on the Internal Security of the Czech Republic and the Crisis Management
HAVEL, David
The issue associated with the migration of foreigners, with the positive and negative aspects that inevitably bring, is a phenomenon that can not be left unnoticed by the authorities, regardless of whether they are migrants residing at the territory of the Czech Republic legally or illegally. Especially nowadays, when most countries are in the global economic crisis, it is the issue that deserves proper attention (with due regard for the possible impacts on the internal security of the Czech Republic, the economy, the social sphere and the citizens´ behaviour). The Czech Republic is aware of the risks associated with the high flow of immigrants. As a proof of that is, that this area has been evaluated as one of the possible non-military threats (or crisis situations) and as such it was defined in the crisis planning as a part of the Plan called {\clq},The Migration Wave of a Large Extent`` drawn by the National Security Council. This work on the topic of The Influence of Both Legal and Illegal Migration on the Internal Security of the Czech Republic and the Crisis Management contains an interpretation of the basic concepts and the development trends in the field of migration in the theoretical part and it also defines the authorities resposinble for solving of the individual issues related to the migration of foreigners. The practical part contains a situational analysis of the presence of foreigners in the South-Bohemian Region compared with the Czech Republic and also the rate of criminal activities committed by foreigners also compared with the Czech Republic as a whole. The research was conducted between the years of 2003 and 2009.
