Prevention and prevalence of burnout syndrome among pedagogues of selected primary and secondary schools

This bachelor thesis takes focus on the burnout syndrom prevention among pedagogic staff in selected primary and high schools. The theoretical part deals with the concept of the burnout syndrom, its causes, phases, risk of its occurrence and last but not least whether the burnout syndrom is a disease or not. The importance of social support and preventive precaution against potential occurrence of the burnout syndrom is also mentioned in this part of the thesis. The practical part is realized through a quantitative research collecting its data in a questionnaire, addressed to pedagogic educators in selected primary and high schools. The receieved data is formed into a graphic illustration. The questionnaire data analysis has shown that the length of pedagogical practice could be in relation to a possible threat of the burnout syndrom. The research results has shown that the most threatened are pedagogues whose practice has lasted for at least 16 years. The survey research has also revealed that almost one half of the respondents experience to be under a threat of the burnout syndrom or perceive themselves to undergo its implications already. Burnout syndrome among selected workers in helping professions from the ranks of members of the armed forces, workers in health and education

This bachelor thesis with the topic "The Burnout syndrome among selected workers in helping professions from the ranks of members of the armed forces, workers in health and education" is divided into two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is concerned especially with the characteristics of the concept of burnout, its symptoms, manifestations and possibilities of preventing it. There is also an outline of the various helping professions that are included in the research. The latter part focuses on examination of the burnout syndrome among selected workers by the evaluation of the questionnaire survey. The research focused on several issues. Subject to examination were next to the subjective feelings of the workers and their awareness of the issue, also direct experiences with the syndrome and its prevention. The survey results showed that subjectively the most satisfied group in the current occupation are educators. The least satisfied are the nurses. I also found out that 97 % of respondents were not satisfied with the financial and social evaluation. The results also show that 44 % of the interviewed is satisfied with the working environment. The intake of carbohydrates for pupils at selected elementary schools

This bachelor thesis deals with the problematics of teenager's carbohydrate intake. It is divided into the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part is based on nutrition and evolution of teenagers and also on the rules of correct nutrition in general. It is followed by the definition of carbohydrates; their distribution, meaning, sources, digestion and metabolism. It also informs about diseases caused by excessive consumption of carbohydrates and their prevention. The main target of the survey was to obtain and process knowledge about carbohydrate intake of second degree pupils. The practical part, using the questionarre survey, maps the consumption of carbohydrates (quantity, type of food and frequency of eating). The result was fact, that second degree pupils do not differentiate, which carbohydrates do they consume. It was found, that carbohydrates are not part of everyday food for a large group of respondents. In contrast, the survey showed, that most of the respondents eat some sweets every day. In addition, most often consumed types of foods are pastries and bread containing polycarbohydrates, on the other hand biscuits containing glucose syrup or sucrose. Teachers' premedical first-aid knowledges at selected kindergartens.

The work is dedicated to theoretical findings in the field of providing pre-medical first aid. Introduction of thesis explains general informations about first aid. Thesis also mentions Legal sanction if not giving first aid, types of first aid and emergancy phone numbers. Next part of thesis focuses on child resuscitation in detail. Other chapter looks into theoretical knowledge of teachers in nursery schools. For example nosebleed, small bruises or foreign body in nose. Conclusion of theoretical part attend to accident prevention and other practical informations that teachers use in their work. Primarily if Teacher giving medicine to student is appropriate. Practical part of thesis earned data through online questionnaire. Main goal of thesis was to find out the level of knowledge about premedical first aid, teachers in preschool have. Other topic focused on actual first aid education of teachers and whether an employer cares about teachers development in this area. According to results, level of teachers knowledge about this topic, was remarkable. Surprisingly, a lot of teachers did not know, how to react on everyday possible difficulty like foreign body in nose. The Awareness of Patients Diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes About Their Illness in a Selected Region

This bachelor thesis entitled "The Awareness of Patients Diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes About Their Illness in a Selected Region "is divided into two main parts. In the theoretical part, it focuses on the characteristics of diabetes mellitus, especially on type 2 diabetes mellitus, including treatment and associated complications of this disease. In the practical part I focused on the level of awareness of type 2 diabetics from the Vysočina region, both in diabetics from the neighborhood and from the diabetes clinic of the hospital in Nové Město na Moravě. The level of awareness in the individual areas of treatment was then compared with answers to questions about their own compliance with the treatment rules. Answers to the question of knowledge was mostly correct but the situation about keeping the treatment rules was worse. The best results were in the field of sports, the worst of dieting. They were also very bad in aswering the questions related to acute complications. Only about 40 % of the answers were correct. Knowledge of chronic complications was better. 65 % of the answers were correct. The last partial goal was to find the main source of information, which is clearly the medical staff.
