The image of nature in magical realism in cinema

The purpose of this thesis is to define the term ,,magical realism“ and reveal its main features. Based on that I choose four films that differ both in time and place of origin but share common magickorealistic tendency. The most important aspect of this research is the approach to representation of the nature and natural elements in these movies.
Cinematography of travel and expeditional films

Interviews with contemporary Czech and Slovak travelers and filmmakers. The theme of this thesis deals with the way of searching the knowledge of both, travel and expedition documentary film in real practice through the interviews with nowadays both Czech and Slovak filmmakers and Travellers. This thesis contains five interviews with topic of traveling and filmmaking. Its space was found even for reasoning about lifestyle and teamwork. The talks with the Traveller-filmmakers was very inspirational and full of enrichment for me. The possibility of to be teached by experienced people, who loves their work and believe its sense, thats what I found very important. Thanks to this thesis with the theme of Travellers and expedition films, I steped ahead on a new way, the way with many miles walking, searching, meeting and overcoming myself in all ways.
Filming underwater

The topic of this thesis is "under water shooting ." Text deals with the theoretical and practical problems associated with underwater filming. Given the empirical type of the thesis, the text focuses on the personal experience gained during the filming of underwater scenes of Menandros & Thais movie, I worked as director of photography for. All the experience I gained during the preparation and the actual filming should be benefit to those who will in the future address this issue. The first part of the thesis is a brief history and theory of diving. It describes development of diving equipment from the the beginning until today and explaines the theoretical minimum for underwater filming. The second part is a description of underwater battle to the detail, where I worked as a director of photography on the preparation, implementation and finalization. This chapter is divided into five parts. The first part deals with the initial concept of underwater scenes. The second part describes the preparation for filming. The third and fourth parts deal with the implementation from rehearsals up to filming. The last, fifth part focuses on the reflection of the underwater scene. Here I outline what was brought to the reality from the concept.

Differences and specificities between documentary and feature film from the perspective of Director of photograhy

This bachelor thesis called "Differences and specificities between documentary and feature film from the perspective of Director of photograhy" deals with different cinematographer's practice in these two disciplines, choosing the correct image format, movie camera and lens, right material and others technical parameters which simplify director's of photography work. I also mention history of documentary and feature film, historical film equipment which I compare to present digital cameras and digital movie cameras. I also describe feature films containging documentary elements and documentary films containing feature films elements. As an example I analyse two of such films and qoute famous czech and worldwide filmmakers who vigorously influenced cinematography.
Ethics and Moral Attitudes of a Cameraman (Especially in Documentary Film)

This Master thesis deals with the ethics and moral attitudes of a cameraman, especially from viewpoint of a documentary film. At first the thesis acquaints with the philosophical ground, then with the view on ethics from the angle of Christian theology and after that it acquaints with the base of fine art and ethics from the view of a digital photography. In the chapter Ethics and the moral testaments in a profession of a cameraman, it deals with the ethical principles of a cameraman in feature and documentary film. The final chapter deals with the examination of materials relate to ethical codex of cameraman.
Economical and legal aspects of sports television broadcasting and the influence of sport on the development of television

This work is focusing on the development of the sports TV broadcasting with a special attention to its economical and legal aspects. The first chapter is dedicated to the history and picks up important moments, which significantly influenced the whole television broadcasting industry. The following chapter describes the technology and production issue, as well as the costs of the sports broadcasting and the fourth chapter the legal point is discussed. The return of the investments, the types of the revenues from broadcasting the sport programmes together with questions of different types of integration is a part of the chapter five. Chapter six contains government regulations and chapter seven tries to forecast the future going of the whole branch. The work in general is focusing on the phenomenon of the sports television broadcasting and the sport it self from entertainment point of view.
