Risky behaviour in prison is very frequently international theme in last twenty years. Epidemic situation in some foreign prisons, which involved IDU too, asked for details studies and introduction certain measure. There are missing quality researches and good knowledge about this area in czech setting. The goal of my bachelor work is to probe into this problem. I want to find out the information about incarcerated persons, especially if they show some types of risky behaviours and if duration of the punishment and using patterns before incarceration influence these behaviours. I use a method of a quantitative research, the questionnaires. My research was realized in 2010 between active drug users released from prison. There are 22 respondents in my research so it is not possible to generalize acquired data. I recommend next continuing in this study, especially linking-up with more institutions and raise funds for extensive study.

There is a rise of new phenomenon in drug use in the last few years. The first method was a content analysis of online discussion forums of new synthetic drugs users. 16 online discussion forums with a total number of 832 posts were analyzed. The second method were semi-structured interviews with users of new synthetic drugs. They were conducted with 9 respondents. Regarding the perception of risk, some...

Kozová, Johana ; Fidesová, Hana (advisor) ; Grohmannová, Kateřina (referee)
Backround: New psychoactive substances are substances that are not controlled by existing legislation and are created to replace already banned addictive substances, from which they are often derived. New substances are created by changing chemical structure of already banned addictive substances, then they are no longer substances on the lists of controlled substances and thus they are not subject to legislative measures. After the change of the structure, their exact mechanism of action and effects on the organism is not known. This can pose a risk to users and therefore to society. Aim: The aim of this work is to describe the current legislative approaches to new psychoactive substances in the European Union and in the Czech Republic and to suggest possible legislative solutions for the future and appropriate addictological interventions for new psychoactive substances. New psychoactive substances: Availability in online shops, comparing the Czech Republic and Australia
Brandnerová, Michaela ; Běláčková, Vendula (advisor) ; Grohmannová, Kateřina (referee)
New psychoactive substances (NPS) are phenomena of growing diversity and relevance in recent times. Drug producers are trying to chemically modify classical drugs to avoid criminal prosecution, and are innovating their distribution strategies by selling over the internet. However, little is known about the toxicity and other properties of these substances, and therefore their potential to cause serious health problems remains to be properly investigated. The theoretical section is concerned with the description of different types of NPS, information regarding drugs and the internet and drug policy, followed by a summarization of the current situations in both, the Czech republic and Australia. In the practical section information about drug policy are compared, online marketting is discussed, as are seizures, prevalence systems, prevalence of problem regarding recreational drug users and the general population. The last table summarizes and compares NPS definitions and selected questions from I-TREND and EDRS questionnaires. The drug policy in Australia differs throughout its territories, while in the Czech republic, the drug policy is united. Australia applies analogue laws and an individual list of restricted compounds. This list is being used in the Czech republic as well. The main goal of this...
