Design of Deep Fundation of Elderly Care Home in Plzeň
Janočo, Martin ; Fiala, Radek (referee) ; Brdečková, Helena (advisor)
The objective of this bachelor’s thesis is design of pile foundation of a building in specific geological conditions. The design is based on engineering geology report of the area and a scheme of loads on foundations. Calculations are executed in spreadsheet software Excel and in geotechnical software GEO5 – Pile module. Finally, these calculations are compared with Plaxis 2D output.
Design of Gravity Wall in Terms of Flysch Geology
Horňáková, Lenka ; Fiala, Radek (referee) ; Brdečková, Helena (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis is divided to two main parts, from which first is focused on the theory of reinforced concrete retaining walls. The second, practical part deals with design and assessment of the cantilever breast wall supporting the sloping slope in place of annex of congress hall situated above the northern wall of Tatra´s hotel in Velke Karlovice. The labor contains processing of geomorphology and geology surrounding area, load, sample calculation cantilever breast wall and its assessment.
Foundation of the building in complex geotechnical conditions
Blinková, Magdaléna ; Fiala, Radek (referee) ; Brdečková, Helena (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is the design of deep foundation highway bridge on D3 motorway in km 112.574, over Bošilecký stream and evaluation of geomorphological, geological and hydrogeological conditions and perform static calculation bridge foundation
The Abutment Design of the Road Bridge over the Highway D1 by Kurovice
Ponížil, Cyril ; Fiala, Radek (referee) ; Brdečková, Helena (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with design and assessment of the bridge abutment of the flyover over highway R 55 Skalka – Hulín. This flyover is situated between Tlumacovice and Kurovice. The thesis includes a geological and geomorphological classification of the locality, definition of loads due to bridge constructions, including traffic loads. Design and assessment of two variants (the gravity and cantilever retaining wall) of the bridge abutment are carried out.
Retaining Walls
Michalčák, Jan ; Fiala, Radek (referee) ; Glisníková, Věra (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with retaining walls, methods of the design and defects. The thesis then focuses on gebion retaning walls and their defects. The adopted design of the model of gabion for the calculation through final element method (FEM) is here processed and verified. In the practical part findings are applied to a real situation along a cycle path near the village called Tatranská Polianka. The designed retaining wall from gabion baskets is calculated analytically, using the programme GEO5 and PLAXIS 2D. In conclusion, results are evaluated and compared.
Analysis of pile load test
Ponížil, Cyril ; Kotačková, Alena (referee) ; Fiala, Radek (advisor)
There is ussualy used the Masopust's method to assessment the piles in Czech Republic. This method is based on statistical processing of large data set of load piles tests. Due to the using of regression coefficients this method is relatively complicated and not very transparent. Instead, foreign standards ussualy use direct the values of limit stress on the base of piles and unit friction capacity. Procedure for determining the bearing capacity of the piles is thus considerably simplified. In this thesis the Masopust's method is compared with the methods used in Germany and Austria. This comparison provides insight to the safety level that include various approaches.
Design of shallow foundation using Penetration tests
Bastl, Jiří ; Fiala, Radek (referee) ; Štefaňák, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis focuses on the principle and implementation of penetration tests and search procedures using the test results of penetration test for design of shallow foundations. The purpose of this work is to compare the design of sallow foundations using conventional methods and computational methods based on the use of penetration tests. In the project TA04031092 – interpretation and correlation of dynamic and static penetration test, I worked with data on which I assembled and tested correlations between cohesion of clays and penetration resistance for the region and around Brno.
Waterpark Jeseník - selected geotechnical problems
Kučera, Jakub ; Fiala, Radek (referee) ; Glisníková, Věra (advisor)
The bachelor thesis discusses the possible ways of establishing the basics of structures. Its main focus lays on foundation pads and piles. The practical part consists of finding a solution regarding two different approaches of the foundation of the waterslide in Aquapark Jeseník. Even though the proposed variants are calculated without the use of computational software, software GEO 5 is used to compare the results. The conclusion contains the comparison and evaluation of the results of both approaches.
Analysis of the requirements for Mobile Monitoring System foe elderly people living in home background
Hrabalová, Klára ; Fiala, Radek (advisor) ; Zeman, Miroslav (referee)
In the thesis the author deals with the Mobile Supervisory System Senior Inspect, which allows monitoring of elderly people living in home background. Monitoring makes use of biological and general technical values, which are wirelessly transported and digestedly displayed in a notebook monitor. The author focuses on the analysis of the requirements, she puts forward the metodology of aplications of the monitoring system. Next the author endeavours to determine the requirements of the monitoring system and extending the whole system. She describes the desk of Senior Inspect 24/7 and checklist created for it. At the conclusion of her thesis the author highlights use of the monitoring system. The findings of this thesis should help when the monitoring system is put into practice.
Concept of the Implementation of the Mobile Monitoring System in the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic
Caithaml, Vít ; Fiala, Radek (advisor) ; Koza, Zdeněk (referee)
The thesis concerns the mobile monitoring telemetry system and its implementation within the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic. The object of the monitoring system is to give commanders an overview based on the monitoring of biological and technical values of the current mental and physical state of their soldiers and with the help of alarm limits to warn of abnormal readings of the monitored values. The system should help prevent injuries caused by exhaustion and should improve the combat efficiency of the whole unit. The thesis goes on to describe the concept of the system as a whole and the alignment of each seperate modul. The functionality of the system was verified through practical measurement. The results and findings throughout the thesis form the basis for the design of a second generation system and for modifications of the presented algorithms.
