Revitalization Program of Floral Garden in Kromeriz
Dvořáková, Terezie ; Herzán, Radovan (referee) ; Ruller, Ivan (advisor)
After studying the historic concept of the garden I began to thik about the urban conception of the current entrance. I thought about the renewal of the original entrance through the colonade directly on the axis of the rotunda. This entrance is nowdays impossible to restore because of the contiguous road which doesn’t permit to create a new entrance space for the new visitors center. Another reason is that th garden is today a part of the city organism and its direct connection to the city center is from the east side where the current entrance from the half of the 19th century lies. I tried to find a different possibility of the entrance so it would go with the baroque symetric conception of the garden and also it would have a connection to the city center. There should be also enough space for building a new visitors center. All these conditions are included in the new entrance which is placed directly to the axis of the rotunda from the east side of the city center. To this side is also orientated the porticus of the rotunda from the break of the 19th and 20th century.

Stoic Spiritual Exercises and Modern Self-Help Literature
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Terezie
This bachelor's thesis focuses on a way in which selected books of contemporary literature that are focused on self-development (self-help literature) use methods developed by the western philosophical tradition. These methods are called spiritual exercises. The main focus is on the linkage with stoicism and on the forms in which these exercises appear in self-development books. Spiritual exercises deal with one´s willpower, with strengthening one´s endurance when it comes to various hardships. The goal of this thesis is to show if and to what extent these elements of philosophical askesis are present in popular books which are not explicitly under the co-called modern Stoicism movement.
