Analysis of Economic Efficiency of the Investment Project
Křístková, Lenka ; Doubrava, Jiří (referee) ; Koleňák, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is to design and choose the most optimal source of financing fixed assets for Mr. Zavadil, which operates in the field of transport and forwarding. The theoretical part is focused on the possibility of financing the investment plan and the methods by which evaluates the effectiveness of investment. In next chapters thesis deals with the planned investment project in a concrete company, its characteristic, comparison of the various options of financing investments in order to assess its efficiency. The result is a proposal on how to finance an investment with recommendation for the company.
Students' procedures for mathematical word problems solvable by systems of equations during the school leaving examination
Doubrava, Jiří ; Chvál, Martin (advisor) ; Vondrová, Naďa (referee)
This diploma thesis investigates different approaches to solving word problems with systems of equations. The thesis aims to discover which strategies are used by senior students when solving these word problems and documents the processes involved. The research presented in the thesis is based on an in-depth analysis of the database of student cut-outs from five word problems of the common part of the Maturita exam, specifically from the spring terms between the years 2016 and 2020. The theoretical part involves an analysis of three textbooks for high school students in the Czech Republic which incorporate the named phenomena. Furthermore, this part includes a list of student strategies for solving word problems, moreover, the reader is provided with a description of the state Maturita exam in Mathematics. The empirical part contains an overview of several possible procedures prepared during an a priori analysis. It also presents psychometric features of the chosen word problems by incorporating statistical outcomes. In addition, cut-outs of students' answers are divided into various groups based on the chosen solving strategies, thus demonstrating the possible techniques used by the students when solving this type of tasks. The principal conclusions demonstrate immense omissions, supporting the...
The use of invariants of geometric transformations to solving problems
Doubrava, Jiří ; Zamboj, Michal (advisor) ; Beran, Filip (referee)
This thesis deals with the division of bijective collinear geometric mappings. It deals with a corresponding view on its respective problems and their solutions. The main part of the thesis is a collection of solved problems in the field of plane geometry, which are divided into several groups. The thesis can be used by both mathematics teachers and students at the secondary schools. The thesis is divided into two parts; the first part is theoretical and it contains a brief introduction to the basic concepts concerning invariants of geometric transformations and a description of the structure of geometry according to Felix Klein including his Erlangen program; the second part contains the actual assignments and so- lutions of the problems. The solutions of some of the problems are supplemented by im- ages created in GeoGebra software for better illustration. The images play an important role even in the theoretical part, where they can help improve understanding of some of the more complex concepts. Some of the problems were created by the author, other prob- lems are taken from sources listed in the list of bibliography. Application of multi-criterial decision-making methods in Business Intelligence
Doubrava, Jiří ; Sekničková, Jana (advisor) ; Kobzareva, Maria (referee)
Enterprise Resource Planning systems are large source of information usable for management decision--making. However, these data are often kept in incomprehensible form for common user. Especially for support of management decision--making was developed set of processes and technologies called Business Intelligence. With its tools are created comprehensible analysis. On practical example there is shown that Business Intelligence tools can be easily used for generating entry data for multi--criterial evaluation of variants. Methods of multi--criterial evaluation of variants are applied to solve the problem of a company that is forced to close some of its stores due to financial loss.
Optimalization of flows in the network using the linear programming
Doubrava, Jiří ; Kalčevová, Jana (advisor) ; Flusserová, Lenka (referee)
This thesis deals with optimization of flows in a network with focus on solutions based on linear programming. The theoretical part is divided into three main sections: maximal flow, minimal flow and maximal flow with minimal costs. The first part focuses on theoretical basics of maximal flow problem and mainly on these algorithms: Ford-Fulkerson, Dinic/Edmonds-Karp, Three Indians algorithm and Goldberg push-relabel algorithm. These are explained on examples. The other chapters explain the minimal flow and the maximal flow with minimal costs problems with simple algorithms for their solutions, again explained on some examples. The practical part includes software solution of maximal flow problem in application MaxTok, which can be found on attached CD.
