Song as a tool for learning in children with mental retardation
Brdičková, Anna ; Kmentová, Milena (advisor) ; Daněk, Alois (referee)
The thesis on Song as a tool for learning in children with mental retardation presents a view on the use of songs as a way of acquiring knowledge and skills for preschool and younger school-age children. It introduces the reader to the theoretical background of intellectual disability and gives emphasis to the specifics in learning. The work also defines the differences between special music education, music therapy, and music filetic to avoid the common misconception that often considers all work with music and people with disabilities as music therapy. Based on a literature search, this paper presents the educational potential of song, which lies mainly in the development of the child's cognitive, auditory, speech, orientation, social and emotional skills. The use of songs in creating a positive atmosphere that improves the conditions for learning also appears to be important. The experiences of several kindergarten and primary school teachers who routinely incorporate songs into children's learning are elaborated in the research. The analysis of the songs used focuses in particular on whether the songs are suitable for children and what their educational potential is (what they can develop in children). Furthermore, the thesis presents several foreign songs adapted for the Czech school...
Musical program in pre-primary education for children with atypical language development
Waloschková, Anna ; Kmentová, Milena (advisor) ; Daněk, Alois (referee)
The master thesis with the topic: Music Programme For Preschool Children With Atypical Speech Development focuses mainly on speech development of children with different types of socio-cultural disadvantages. The theoretical part focuses on the effect of different mother tongues, bilingualism and other sociocultural disadvantages on speech development of preschool children. It highlights music education and its integrative character, especially in relation to physical education, drama and art education. The connection between music education and different types of learning is also found there, as well as the relationship of music education and the development of different types of intelligence as defined by Gardner. The theoretical part also presents the possibilities of using musical activities as a tool for supporting and nurturing the child's speech development, focusing on compensating for possible deficits expecially in the lexical-semantic and pragmatic levels of language. Last but not least, it characterizes some historical and contemporary Czech and international programmes that use music education as a tool in the personal and social development of children. The practical part consists the designing of a long-term and targeted programme, which is made of common and specific musical...

The use of HPLC in the field of chiral separations IV.
Daněk, Alois ; Kučera, Radim (advisor) ; Štěrbová, Petra (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis Candidate: Alois Daněk Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Radim Kučera, Ph.D. Title of thesis: The employment of HPLC in the field od chiral separations IV. The requirements for the quality and safety of medicines are constantly growing at present. Drugs are often chiral substances. Therefore, the importance of chiral separations is increasing. Direct separations using chiral stationary phases are the most used in this field. Silica gel, which is most often used as a carrier for chiral selectors, may contain metal impurities on its surface, which may negatively affect the separation process. This thesis focuses on testing the influence of chromatographic conditions on chiral and achiral interactions of nine selected analytes with the stationary phase. A column with β-cyclodextrin as chiral selector was used for the testing.
