Biodegradable waste
Dřímal, Jiří ; Niesner, Jakub (referee) ; Beňo, Zdeněk (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor is introduction with the issue of using biodegradable waste (BDW) in the EU. The introductory chapters are focused on the description of the different types of BDW. There are described ways of processing of this waste and their use. The emphasis is on mapping the current condition of treatment of biodegradable waste with it in the EU and the CR.
Planar Circuits Elements on Low Temperature Cofired Ceramics
Kosina, Petr ; Dřímal, Jiří (referee) ; Kolařík, Vladimír (referee) ; Šandera, Josef (advisor)
The present work deals with the design and manufacturing of 3D structures in LTCC (Low Temperatue Cofired Ceramics) technology. To use this technology LTCC workplaces have been designed and technological processes for high quality reproducible production were suggested. Technological possibilities of low temperature co-fired ceramics were demonstrated in the design and manufacturing of pressure sensors, electrode systems for ozone generators, planar circuit elements (coils and transformers) and in the design a special package for middle-power terahertz modulator. Design of selected parts of respective devices was proved by simulations in COMSOL Multiphysics. The work provides new insights into the structure of power integrated circuits sleeves and structure of electrode systems for different types of electrical discharges. Results of this work can contribute significantly in the application of planar circuit elements, in the development of different types of sensors, in the design of atypical types of packaging or in the design of electrode systems for capacitive coupled electrical discharges.
Use of active oxygen for car air conditioning cleaning
Zapletal, Adam ; Dřímal, Jiří (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the cleaning of car air conditioning system with ozone. The aim is to design equipment for ozone production, its location and cleaning algorithm. The thesis is divided into two parts. The introductory theoretical part describes the principle of operation of conventional automotive air conditioning, then discusses the methods of pollution and solutions to remove these pollutions. The theoretical part ends with a summary of information on ozone. The practical part is continuously followed by the design of device for the ozone production directly in the car. The final part deals with the location of such a device in a car, measuring its parameters and evaluating the results.
Characteristic parameters of oxygen-enhanced combustion process
Dřímal, Jiří ; Hudák, Igor (referee) ; Bělohradský, Petr (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the experimental investigation of the oxygen enhanced combustion technology (OEC), which uses the combustion air with higher concentration of oxygen, i.e. more than 21 %. The OEC technology is used in those industrial applications, which requires higher thermal efficiency, increased productivity, improved character of the flame, reduced equipment cost, lower volume of exhaust gases and improved product quality. Although this technology involves a number of advantages, it is appropriate to mention some of its disadvantages such as refractory damage, inconsistent heating, increased pollutant emission or flame disturbance and/or flashback. The combustion tests of OEC were carried out at the burners testing facility that enables to test many types of burners (gaseous, liquid, or combined). The two-staged low-NOx burner fired by natural gas was used during the tests. The observed parameters include the effect of oxygen concentration in the combustion air on the NOx emissions, heat flux into the wall of the combustion chamber, in-flame temperature distribution in the horizontal symmetry plane of the combustion chamber and also the shape and dimensions of the flame. The combustion tests of the air-enrichment, air-oxy/fuel and O 2 lancing OEC methods were carried out at the burner thermal input of 750 kW and air excess of 1,1 for two combustion regimes, namely one-staged and two-staged fuel supply.
