Risk behaviour and symptoms of children's ADHD as observed in a specific educational and social care institution

STARTING POINT: The presence of ADHD symptoms is one of the possible causes of risky behavior. Adolescent risk behaviors bring many challenges that can affect the quality of future life. One of the consequences of risky behavior may be to place a teenager in institutional care. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe in detail the occurrence of risk behavior in the children's home with the school and then to look into the possible occurrence of symptoms of ADHD. Consequently, we will attempt to characterize the risk behavior of children in institutional care by gender, age and educational program. METHODS: The data were obtained using questionnaire methods, for the presence of the ADHD symptoms the BRIEF questionnaire was used (Gioia et al., 2011). The VRCHA questionnaire the occurrence of risk behavior in adolescents (Dolejš & Skopal, 2015) was used to map the occurrence of risk behavior. The data was also obtained with the study of the documentation, when we worked with existing documents, the subject of the examination was the report of the respondents. RESULTS: The most common risk behavior in children's homes with the school is delinquency and abuse of addictive substances. Backrounds: This thesis is focused on the research of coping strategies and attachment between parents and their teenage children are treated in the Child and Adolescent Department of Addictology at the Department of Addictology, First Medical Faculty, Charles University. The study is a combination of quantitative and qualitative data collection using the method of triangulation. It consists of questionnaires, case studies and focus groups. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to describe the type of attachment with close persons in adolescents using addictive substances or dependent on processes. Furthermore, the work aims to map the relationship between the type of attachement and coping strategies in adolescents who exhibit addictive behavior. Sample: Questionnaire survey was attended by 35 respondents. The research involved 51% of boys and 49% girls, see graph No. 1. Age structure of respondents is from 13 to 19 years. Attachment in people with disorders caused by opioid

This thesis is focused on the attachment among people addicted to opiates. The goal of the research is to describe the relationship between the type of attachment and coping strategies of opiates users. Research was attended by forty clients in opioid-dependent set of substitution programs. Klients are from the methadone substitution of clinics adiktologie 1 LF UK, from CADAS Sananim and Remedis, where there is a substitution of opioids, especially by Suboxone. The study focuses on quantitative data collection using a battery of questionnaires which were completed in collaboration with the interviewer during the period of treatment. Questionnaire battery containing the following questionnaires: anamnesis questionnaire, ECR - R Experience in Close Relationships (Fraley et al., 2000) and SVF- 78 questionnaire on coping strategies (Janke & Erdman, 2003). The study is anonymous and confidential. Questionnaires are encoded by the initials of the respondent and the interviewer and execution of research date. Results of studies abroad show that addictive behavior is often associated with insecure attachment and positive attachment works on people protectively.
