Camp Hodonin near Kunštát in the Time Changes: From a Disciplinary Labor Camp to a Place of Collective Memory

This diploma thesis follows history of camp in Hodonín Nera Kunštát during its existence since late 1930's until nowadays. The work describes changes in use of the camp in context of political regime's changes during the reviewed period. Examination will be subjected not only to the repressive role of the facility, but also to its post-war recreational function and, last but not least, to the current educational mission. The work will be compiled in chronological order using the method of comparison of individual stages of camp use. In certain aspects the issue of camp use will be analysed through perspective of its diverse subjects, in addition to its various stages. The work will be divided into trhee parts, namely the use of the camp as a tool of the state policy punishing, the recreational function and the so-called second life of the camp, that is to say, the period following the recreational educational function of the camp. In this part of the thesis, medial and political messages will be analyzed as a necessary evidence illustrating the complex path of transformation of the Hodonín grounds from the camp to the center of collective memory.
Pervasivity in Live Art

The aim of this thesis is to offer an application of the concept of pervasivity on the field of live art. The first chapter introduces the concept as it was defined in the field of game studies, mainly by scholars of Tampere school. To fill this aim it makes use of terminology coming chiefly from social sciences. The second chapter describes the relationship between game and theatre including their common as well as dissimilar features and then adapts the pervasivity concept for the theatre field. The third chapter brings possible applications of the concept by presenting three examples of a piece's confrontation of everydayness: through accentation, fabrication and construction. The conclusion sums up possible pervasive moments in the examined pieces of art.
Methods and Features of Immersive Theatre

The aim of this thesis is to present features and methods of immersive theatre. The first chapter introduces the term itself, the discussion about its use and my opinion on it. I also outline my own research of this kind of theatre and support it with foreign examples. In the second chapter I describe my artwork in the field of immersive theatre with emphasis on the performance Letec - l'Aviateur. I reflect the dramaturgical preparation, the rehearsal period and the specificity of acting in this kind of theatre. Finally, I focus on dramaturgy of the space and specific features of scenographic work.
The Constitutive Features of Larps (Live action role-playing games)

The thesis aims to name the constitutive features of larps (live action role-playing games) and it is based on theatre theory and theory of games. The first chapter focuses on larp itself, sketches its historical background and shows few examples of larp. The second chapter describes some problems of basic aesthetic which will help us to understand some theoretical concepts later. The third chapter deals with the theory of games, tries to outline the specifics and and looks for similarities between a game and larp. The last chapter focuses on theatre theory, specifically touches upon theatre as artistic media. It also discusses questions of generally conceived performativity and looks for similar elements in theatre and larp. The conclusion is built from discovered facts and summarizes constitutive features of larps.
Reflection of Czech-German relations in the regional periodicals in the thirties of the 20th century

This bachelor thesis will focus on Czech-German relations in České Budějovice region in the thirties of the 20th century. They will be observed in both the nationwide trends and regional specificities. The theoretical part will be focused on the genesis of the coexistence of Czechs and Germans till the late thirties of the 20 century, not only in social and political context of Czechoslovakia but also of neighboring Germany and its internal policies (the period of so-called Weimar Republic and Third Reich). Increased emphasis will be devoted to the naming and characterization of the major aspects of mutual ethnic antagonism. In this chapter there will also be a characteristic of České Budějovice in terms of mutual coexistence of Czech and German population and the definition of its local differences within the national development. Practical part will be devoted to a comparison of two regional periodicals, Jihočeské listy and Budweiser Zeitung, according to precisely specified political and cultural topics and categories that characterized the changes in mutual co-existence the best
