CROWDFUNDING AS A METHOD OF COMPLETING THE FINANCING OF A DOCUMENTARY FILM

The topic of this thesis is reward based crowdfunding as a way of how to partly finance a documentary film. The aim of this work is to show crowdfunding as one of the methods that a documentary film producer can use. One case study and three other descriptions of Czech documentary films show how to use this phenomena in practical life.
Creative and technical specifics in development of VR films

This paper discusses virtual reality as a new type o medium and it`s use within cinematography. I also describe the history, that predates the virtual reality as we know it today and the human fascination and effort for immersion within audiovisual works and also it`s ethical risks and dangers of misuse of this technology. Furthermore I describe actual status of the development of this technology and the workflow in creating work for VR medium. Than I apply these workflows in a case study on a real project, that I have worked on. In the end I analyze five existing films for VR on which I would like to demonstrate the
Analysis of Czech films attendance in 2010-2015

The cinema still belongs to the main place for distribution of the audiovisual content, despite other growing possibilities. The cinema attendance had various tendencies in the past and it even increased last year. However, one thing is the general attendance and the other one is only the attendance of the inland production - and exactly this issue is the topic of this thesis. The first part of this thesis is primarily focused on the results and the statistics regarding the attendance of the Czech films. Specifically, it is about the results of the attendance and the revenues, differences between classic cinemas and multiplexes. One chapter is also concerned with the genres of Czech films. The following part describes particular factors which can influence the cinema attendance and these factors are considering the results in the first part. The final part presents the summary of this analysis.
A conception of industry programme

The thesis deals with festivals and industry activities supporting the training of film professionals in the Czech Republic. It conducts a survey of the important industry platforms and engages in an example of film festival Finale Plzen and its platform Industry Days which was established in 2012. It deals with the conception of the Industry Days and their position in the Czech environment . The last part outlines the future direction of training programs for professionals.
Danish TV System

The author of this thesis is dealing with danish TV system. He is focusing on it´s historical developement, structure, regulation, way of financing and on it´s most important players. He analyses the literature works of danish professional authors and primary sources, like websites and presentations of included institutions. The author creates current and broad picture of danish TV in 2016, of it´s mechanisms and elements. Then, he compares his findings with system of czech TV´s, which may seem same functional as danish from an external point of view , but it´s nation and international succeeds are imcomparable.
Production of newspaper

The bachelor's thesis "Production of festival newspaper; comparison of Festival Daily and Film Sheets" deals with a comparison of the festival periodicals as the production. The aim of the study is to describe the conditions of production of the festival newspaper at the International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary and Summer Film School in Uherské Hradiště in 2014, and show their influence on the final form of periodicals. Furthermore, these production environments will compare, evaluate and propose a basis for improving production conditions in the coming years.
Program Dramaturgy of the Public Service Media

In this thesis I deal with the public media programming. On the example of Czech television, Irish RTÉ and Finnish YLE am I trying to show the current tendences in the programming of new project and format as well as to show the relationship between the public broadcasters and new medias. Within the programming this thesis deals with the various types of genres that are broadcasted by public media, on the field of development of new programs it describes the process of development of new projects in the institutions mentioned before. It also analyses the current programming and scheduling of the public media. This thesis also covers the current trends in European public broadcasting companies and shows the trends on the field of develepment of new programms and new media.
Public Media Financing

In my work I deal with the public media financing in Europe. I introduce 6 different models of media financing and a brief history of their progress that is very important in the context of present situation in every country. I introduce also public media broadcasters in every country (TV and Radio companies) with brief characteristic. Introduced are models and broadcasters in Great Britain, France, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia and Estonia. I also evaluate the current situation in Czech Republic and in the last chapter I try to apply some elements from European models and to analyze their impact for the public media financing in Czech Republic.
