Analysis of software for creating 3D models of interiors
Maceška, David ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Štefanová, Eva (referee)
This Bachelor's thesis is mainly focusing on analysis of software used for 3D modeling. The main goal is comparison Autodesk's proprietary software called 3ds Max with open-source software named Blender. The into part is about usability of 3D models and analysis of its existence. Followed by main part which includes an introduction and comparison of software already mentioned. Comparison is formed by technique and way of making 3D content. Hardware requirements for each software is also mentioned. The subjective best software for a 3D interior modeling is chosen by created criteria. The final part refers to other possibilities of creating 3D interior models. Keywords: 3D model, Autodesk, Blender, Interior
GIS application methods in antropology
Bashir, Faraz Ahmed ; Štefanová, Eva (advisor) ; Potůčková, Markéta (referee)
This bachelor thesis aims to use of geoinformatic methods in anthropology. Specifically methods of terrestrial laser scanning and close range photogrammetry. The theoretical part focuses on explaining functioning and usage of those methods. Practical part of this work discribes data collecting proces with those methods and following creation of 3D model of anthroplogical artifact, specifically human skull. In the end those models are compared with model from computed tomography which was provided, same as anthropological artifact, by Department of anthropology and human gentetics of Charles University.
Possibily GIS methods for documentation of paleontological relics
Čelonk, Marek ; Štefanová, Eva (advisor) ; Potůčková, Markéta (referee)
Possibily GIS methods for documentation of paleontological relics Abstract The bachelor thesis is focused on use of geoinformatic methods for creation of 3D model. The thesis is produced in cooperation with the Chlupáč's Museum of Earth History, which lent a paleontological artifact for processing. The theoretical part deals with laser scanning and close-range photogrammetry. Both methods are used in the practical part for own data colection and subsequent creation of 3D model. Data processing was mostly done in Trimble RealWorks, MeshLab and Agisoft PhotoScan. Another output is the HTML page that allows visualization in the Internet environment. key words 3D model, laser scanning, close-range photogrammetry, point cloud
Proposal of online tracking system for racing
Uhlíř, Vojtěch ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Štefanová, Eva (referee)
Proposal of online tracking system for racing Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with an analysis of current web information technologies and their potential use for creating an online tracking system for racing. At the beginning, already existing live tracking systems are presented and evaluated. Current web geoinformation technologies are presented as well. In the practical part, a comparative analysis based on functional parametres is conducted with focus on Google Maps API, OpenLayers and Leaflet. The main outcome of the thesis is a complete proposal of a universal and modular system for online tracking of rally races which meets current requirements of motoring organisations. Keywords: web, GPS, Google Maps API, Leaflet, OpenLayers
The Digitisation and Visualisation of Historical Globes
Kowalski, Michal ; Štefanová, Eva (advisor) ; Hodač, Jindřich (referee)
The Digitization and Visualisation of Historical Globes Abstract The aim of this thesis is to design and verify in practice (semi)automated way of digi- talisation of historical globes. Problematics of point cloud is secured by program Agisoft PhotoScan. The subsequent image processing (data filtering, interpolation, edge enhancement) are performed by own program in Matlab. The result is a universal methodology digitization Globes applicable in almost all cases. As input are included in photos of globe and the output is a raster or mosaic grid showing the surface of the globe. The result is presented in the form of a virtual model of the globe. The methods are described in detail, including mathematical foundations and are subject to criticism. Key words: historical globes, photogrammetry, map projection, image correlation, Matlab
Creating an animations of battle from old maps
Báča, Jakub ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Štefanová, Eva (referee)
Creating an animation of battle from old maps in GIS Abstract The bachelor thesis is focused on options of creating animation of battle in GIS. At the begining of theoretical part is analysis of relation between time and cartography, including main methods of its visualization in maps, issues of cartographic animations and its creation in specific GIS software. Next part explains issues of battle maps and analyses the battle at Chotusice and old basemaps. In practical part, there is established methodic procedure of creating animation of battle from old basemaps in ArcMap and QGIS. The results are two animations of battle at Chotusice which are used to compare options, advantage and disadvantege of both used softwares. At the end is told and explain which of these software is better for creating animation of battle. Keywords: animation, animation of battles, old maps, Open GIS, QGIS, ArcMap
Image-based reconstruction of 3D point cloud
Pernerová, Monika ; Brůha, Lukáš (advisor) ; Štefanová, Eva (referee)
The objective of this work is reconstruction of 3D point clouds of a wall rock terrain around Pravčická brána using digital image correlation techniques. The text describes problematics of digital images, principles of image matching and algorithms which are the main component of 3D point clouds modelling. In practical part of this thesis 3D point clouds are generated from self-taken photos using PhotoModeler Scanner, followed by reconstruction of model surface in CloudCompare and MeshLab and integration of the 3D model to 2.5D TIN model of surroundings of Pravčická brána in ArcGis. This work is carried out in cooperation with Správa Národního Parku České Švýcarsko.
Creating of 3D model of castle Spálené Poříčí
Paseka, Štěpán ; Štefanová, Eva (advisor) ; Čábelka, Miroslav (referee)
Creation of the 3D model of the castle in Spálené Poříčí Abstract The main aim of the thesis is the gathering and processing of the photogrammetry data and creating of the most realistic model of the chosen objekt as possible. The thesis also deals with issues connected with the gathering and prosessing of data, as well as with problems of surveying and gaining of spacial oriented data. The scaning of the object of the castle in Spálené Poříčí was done, and the realistic model was made in software Photomodeller 6. The surveying of the object was done as well, and thanks to that the coordinates of chosen points and known in S-JTSK coordinate system. These were used afterwards for setting the proportions of the model, as well as for the control and evaluation of results. The model was postprocessed in Google SketchUp 8 Pro. The result is the model of the castle with set size in file format .skp and a few of its visualizations. Keywords: data visualization, close range photogrammetry, Spálené Poříčí castle, Photomodeller, Google SketchUp 8 Pro
Mapping of sea ice extent by the help of remote sensing methods
Suchá, Renáta ; Potůčková, Markéta (advisor) ; Štefanová, Eva (referee)
Mapping of sea ice extent by help of remote sensing methods Abstract The aim of this thesis is to show utilization of remote sensing methods for monitoring of sea ice by way of an example of Beaufort Sea. In first part of this thesis resulting from the available information in the literature. A short principle of remote sensing is introduced. Some of observation satelites are mentioned, above all Envisat ASAR, whose data are used in the second part of this thesis. Further, some researches concerning the monitoring of sea ice are analysed. The applied visual and radar data are described in detail for monitoring of polar areas. The advantages and limit sof these data are mentioned. In the conclusion of this first part, the researches monitoring the sea ice in Beaufort sea are mentioned. The second part of this thesis is demonstrativ the extend of sea ice in two chosen areas in Beaufort sea. On the basis of eleven radar Picture provided for free from an European space agency, a classification of two type sof sea ice (first-year sea ice, ice floes/multiyear sea ice) was effected. In the watched areas, there was noted a larger extent of sea ice in 2003 than in 2009. The minimum of the ice area in both years was in the month of September. In the Picture, there is a perceptible progres of ice floes which is...
