The FCC was created by Congress in the Communications Act of 1934 for the purpose, in part, of "regulating interstate and foreign commerce in communication by wire and radio." Later the word "radio" also applied to televison. The Communications Act authorizes the FCC to make necessary regulations to prevent interference between stations and to carry out the provisions of the Act. De Gaulle´s foreign policy of France

This thesis deals with the de Gaulle´s foreign policy of the French Republic. The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to analyze French foreign policy during the period in which de Gaulle was the prime minister and the president of France and also to analyze previous occasions which were influenced by Charles de Gaulle. First of all, the analysis is based on the European policy than on the world one. Within the European policy, this analysis highlights mostly the French-German and the French-British relations. The aim of the European policy is to analyze circumstances and consequences which influenced the Élysée Treaty, the first De Gaulle´s veto to Great Britain and the second de Gaulle´s veto. Concerning the world policy, the analysis is based on the French-American and the French-Soviet relations in the context of bipolarity. The aim of this part is especially to analyze French policy towards NATO and the de Gaulle´s personal approach towards USA. Concerning the French-Soviet relations, the aim is to analyze this especial French foreign policy to the Soviet Union and also to analyze the French-Russian tradition
The Role and Importance of M. R. Štefánik during the Formation of Czechoslovak Diplomacy

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the role and importance of Milan Rastislav Štefánik during the formation of Czechoslovak diplomacy. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first one focuses on the formation of Czechoslovakia, theory of diplomacy forming, and on a diplomat as a person involved in international relations. In the second chapter I deal with Czechoslovak foreign policy and its main representatives within the external resistance. The third chapter focuses on M. R. Štefánik and his personal and professional life, which helped him to obtain his diplomatic relations. I explain his relationship with Masaryk and Beneš and in the last subchapter I deal with the actual credits and importance of Štefánik based on a theoretical and conceptual framework.
The role and importance of Otto von Bismarck in international relations

In this bachelors thesis is analyzed a personality of Otto von Bismarck and his role and importance in international relations. The thesis is focused on the period from the German unification by iron and blood in 1871 to the beginning of the World War One. It includes the process of the unification of the German empire, international relations in the 19th century and the change of German foreign policy from the Realpolitik to Weltpolitik after Bismarcks abdication.
Development of diplomatic relations amongst the Czech Republic and the Vatican

Diplomatic relations amongst the Czech republic and the Vatican have been formed since 1918. We study various circumstances which affect the process of shaping in the historical context and on the basis of liberal-idealistic and realistic theories. In this Bachelor work we will concern with factors which influence mutual relation of state and church in the perspective of international relations and in various specific significant moments. This reciprocal relation amongst state and church is not estabilished amongst two states, but also amogst state and international organisation, which is represented by the Pope, the head of the Church and of the Holy See. From the point of view of the mutual agreement every partner enters in this agreement with own demands and needs, which in the case of the papal diplomacy, these demands aren´t always in consensus with the diplomacy of the state. The Czech republic and the Holy See are democracies and such deal with problems in the diplomatic way, even though the consensus is not always possible.
Strategic partnership between Germany and Russia

This diploma thesis focuses on analysis and evaluation of the German-Russian strategic partnership from the German point of view. The aim of this thesis is to answer a question, whether Russia had ever been or still is a strategic partner of Germany, or whether the establishment of the German-Russian strategic partnership remains rather a political goal than the reality. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the theoretical definition of the strategic partnership and indentifies key characteristics of this concept. The analytical part is divided into separate chapters analysing individual dimensions of the German-Russian relations: economic, energetic, security and political. The final chapter sets the goal to summarise and to evaluate the main findings arising from the previous chapters and to answer the research question, whether Russia can be or in the past could be considered a German strategic partner.
Franco-German relations in international politics

This bachelor thesis deals with the theme of Franco-German relations in international politics. The objective is to analyse relations between France and Germany from the chronological point of view, to summarize motives of the friendship and to consider the contribution of both countries to the European integration process. The first chapter focuses on the development of mutual relations since the beginning of 19th century till the end of the Second World War. The second chapter deals with the post-war situation. The last chapter analyses relations between France and Germany since the reunification of Germany until January 2013, when the Franco-German friendship celebrated 50th anniversary.
Development of the diplomatic relations of the Federal Republic of Germany with the Eastern European countries

This bachelor's thesis deals with establishment of diplomatic relations with the Eastern countries during the period of Willy Brandt's chancellorship. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the way the contracts that the Federal Republic of Germany made with the Soviet Union, Poland, GDR and Czechoslovakia during Brandt's chancellorship contributed to détente in Europe and prepared good conditions for the organization of the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe in Helsinki, whose outcome was the Final Act adopted on August 1, 1975. The first chapter deals with the roots of Brandt's Ostpolitik and the beginnings of his political career. The second chapter analyzes Brandt's government concerning his policy toward the eastern countries. It concerns Brandt's meeting with Stoph in Erfurt and Kassel, and the conclusion of the contracts with the Soviet Union and Poland in 1970. The third chapter deals with the normalization of relations of the FRG with GDR. The fourth chapter then deals with the contract between FRG and the Czechoslovakia from 1973 which completed the overall structure of the bilateral agreements with the Eastern countries. This chapter also deals with the issue of the invalidity of the Munich Agreement, which had to be solved in order to conclude this contract. The fifth chapter analyzes the connection of the Ostpolitik with the organization of the CSCE which is often regarded as the greatest achievement of Brandt's Ostpolitik.
The Phenomenon of the Berlin Wall in the International Relations

The theme of this thesis is the phenomenon of the Berlin Wall and its impact on the international relations. Its aim is to analyze the position of the German metropolis Berlin in the context of the Cold War struggle between the USA and the USSR. The first chapter deals with the characteristic features of the Cold War and the specifics of the German area, which played a significant part in the following periods. The second chapter focuses on the post-war status of Berlin and the development of the policies of the four occupying powers as well as on the significance of the first Berlin crisis, which was an important landmark of this period. The third chapter analyzes the events leading to the building of the Berlin Wall and primarily its importance and particular consequences, furthermore it concentrates on the development of the situation until the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany.
