FPGA module for fast waveform generation and synchronous data acquisition
Eliáš, Josef ; Mikel, Břetislav (referee) ; Holík, Milan (advisor)
Master's thesis deals with system for fast waveform generation and synchronous data acquistion. Part of this thesis are requirements of system, which will be gradually analysed. The result of analysis will be selection of suitable components for system and its design.
Analysis and construction of an optical fibre tunable attenuator for telecommunication applications
Prokop, Daniel ; Eliáš, Josef (referee) ; Urban, František (advisor)
This paper deals with the possibilities of designing the module for control of the attenuation of the optical signal. The paper describes basics of ber optic transmission and beam e ects. Variants of attenuation cells are characterized in this paper and based on the ndings a solution of the module for control of the attenuation of the optical signal is proposed. Practical section of the thesis deals with the design and physical construction of module for control of the attenuation of the optical signal using MEMS variable optical attenuator.
Construction and control of multipurpose milling machine
Michalík, Daniel ; Janůš, Tomáš (referee) ; Eliáš, Josef (advisor)
This semestral work deals with the design and realization of multipurpose milling machine for production of prototype small components made from soft materials and PCBs. Thesis contains design of mechanical construction, individual parts of driving machine and graphic user interface.
Spectrum analyzer based on ASIC
Eliáš, Josef ; Dvořák, Vojtěch (referee) ; Pristach, Marián (advisor)
This term project is focused on a design of spectral analyzer based on fast Fourier transform. There is sigma-delta analog to digital converter realized on Department of Microelectronics as ASIC. FFT was implemented into Spartan S3 board kit. This kit is based on FPGA from Xilinx Company that provides various optimized components for his FPGA. Depending on this component was created FFT 10th order in 10 bit resolution. Results are displayed on VGA monitor.

Spectral Change Based Optical Sensors
Eliáš, Josef
This paper is focused on optical sensors based on spectral characteristics change. Optical sensors are widely used for industrial, robust and noise proof measurement. There are measurement techniques for mechanical tension, temperature, pressure, displacement, vibration and so on. This article provides brief description of selected optical sensors based on Fabry-Perot and fiber Bragg grating principle. The article includes basic sensor description, theory of operation and measurement setup and expected measurement ranges and resolutions.
FPGA Module for Fast Waveform Generation and Synchronous Data Acquisition
Eliáš, Josef
This article deals with system for fast waveform generation and synchronous data acquisition. System is used for evaluation of optical sensors by sweep through narrow band light source. The DAQ system use dual core ARM processor with build in FPGA array. We can achieve direct sharing memory between ARM core and AD/DA periphery through SoC architecture. Then we can optimally distributed core usage between processors and peripherals.
