Use of Literary Artwork As a Way to Open the Topic of Unfreedom

The Bachelor thesis describes the preparation and realization of a project that happened as a two-day workshop of drama education for pupils of secondary school. This workshop was created on the basis of two books written by Peter Sís Tibet: Through the Red Box and Wall: Growing Up Behind the Iron Curtain, These books introduce topics : occupation and unfree life in a totalitarian regime. The first part describes the literary artworks and possibilities of their use in proces of dramatic education. The following part is describing a report about the bachelor project that was run two times . In the final chapter you can see a lesson scenario of the two days workshop. In attachment there are the materials that were used during the workshop, structures of lessons and written reflections of the participants.
KSČM and KSS - comparison of program and social influence

The thesis deals with comparison of the program and social influence of communist parties in the Czech and Slovak republic. The author deals with historical development of communist parties and regime in Czechoslovakia and extends to the present. She evaluates each party's election results, compares its programs and analyses its position on the each country's political scheme. The main goal is to find out why there are differences in KSČM and KSS electoral preferences, what factors affected its different development after 1989 and analyze its potencial in future political spectrum.

This thesis describes a specific church political situation in the Catholic Church in the district of Český Brod in the period 1949-1952, as we know from the available archival sources - situation reports and documents of the district church secretaries. It shows how the official church policy of the state was in reality reflected at the given period in the activities of the district church secretary, pastors, nuns, believers in the monitored region. This work describes and evaluates various tasks and activities that the district church secretaries performed to reduce the Catholic Church in the Český Brod district in the fifties.

The topic of this Bachelor´s thesis is political and ideological influence of the communist regime on movie production in the Czech Republic. As for time, the thesis is focussed on the era 1948-1960. Its aim is the fiction of propagandist steps of the regime in power and the rules of the period, which were placed on the movie production then on the basis of chosen mores research. Movies are ordered according to their genre. At the same time the thesis is also trying to find pictures which represent the exception to the rules. Due to the period setting, there is a brief summary of events which influenced ordinary life, cultural politics and the development of movie industry in Czechoslovakia at that time.
THE RELATIONSHIPS OF THE STATE AND THE CHURCH IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

The bachelor work is named THE RELATIONSHIPS OF THE STATE AND THE CHURCH IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC. Its goal is to evaluate the attitude of the Czech society to religion on the basis of individual social-demographic aspects. The bachelor work analyses the question of the traditional religion, but also the question of the alternative attitude towards religion, which we can find in the Czech Republic. Further, the bachelor work deals with evaluation of the legislature related to churches and religious societies, and also with evaluation of ways of solution of the property settlement between the state and churches. The bachelor work deals with different models of financing of churches both in the Czech Republic and in other selected coutries. In the work I work out a very important period when the communist regime took control, which meant both a decline and a limitation of activities for churches.
Restoring the Prague Jewish community since 1989

The theme of this bachelor thesis is present life in the Prague Jewish community. The concept of this work is to provide a comprehensive picture of the development of the Prague Jewish community after the Velvet Revolution. In the first part is briefly de-scribed information on events relevant to Jewish population after the World War II and during communist regime by the year 1989. In the following chapters are described the development and renewal of the Prague Jewish community after year 1989. These chap-ters are devoted to the structure of activities of the Jewish community in Prague, further the structure of Lauder schools, kosher food, the Federation of Jewish communities and its affiliated organizations. There were also mentioned the Jewish Museum and Jewish monuments such as synagogues.
Premonstrat order in Želiv in 40th and 50th years of 20th century

The thesis deals with the Želiv Premonstrate Monastery and the fates of its members in the 1940s and 1950s. The introduction briefly outlines the history of the monastery and the Premonstrate Order. The central part of the thesis deals with the Želiv Monastery as a whole. It describes economic measures that were introduced against it by the Communist regime. It also generally describes the preparations for cancelling monasteries and the progress of this action directly in Želiv. The third part deals with the fate of the Želiv abbot Bohumil Vít Tajovský as well as with the fates of other members of the Želiv Monastery who were oppressed by the Communist regime.
The postwar period of the Monastery Teplá, 1945 - 1950

The work deals with the postwar period of Monastery Teplá in the years 1945 - 1950. It records the renewal of the monastery after the war and transfer of German religious and priests. Special attention is focused on the problems with the establishment of communism in the year 1948 and impact of the communist upheaval upon the life in this monastery. It is based on the archival sources and on the witnesses testimonies. The first part introduces Premonstratensian friary in the world, the first friary information in the Czech Republic, the history and the importance of the friary. The second part deals with the Monastery Teplá itself, its founders, it represents the history and the importance of the monastery. The last part is the most comprehensive and key part of the whole work. It describes the life in the monastery at the end of the Second World War and the life of the prior H. J. Tyl.
Conflicts of the local rock scene with official cultural politics before 1989

This graduation thesis deals with conflicts of regional rock scene with official cultural politics before 1989. The text consists of two large sections, whereas the first one discusses a broader background of the topic and the second one focuses on the problems of rock scene in České Budějovice. Social and political situation during communist regime is reminded at the beginning of dissertation. Following part brings information about development of rock music in the world and Czechoslovakia as well. Some conflicts of rock musicians with the official cultural politics are mentioned here as well, both in nationwide and regional context. The next chapters are based on interviews with witnesses and their recollections of rock scene in České Budějovice before 1989. The last third of the text pays attention to particular problems of this scene. There are mentioned not just minor difficulties, but also bans on music groups, brutal police attack against participants of underground music concert in Rudolfov in 1974 and unfair law suit with Jiří Gans (local jazz and rock music devotee).
Gypsy minority during the era of Czechoslovak communist regime

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to bring an analysis of the issue of Gypsies in an era of Czechoslovak communist regime. Based on this analysis it is trying to show positives and negatives of communistic approach to this minority. First chapter considers symbols of gypsy way of life and afterwards the starting situation before the accession of communists. In second chapter it concentrates on actions of the communist government towards solving the questions of the gypsy minority between the years 1948 and 1968. In the end the thesis deals with the era of normalization, change in the communist policy on gypsies at that time and its impacts on the gypsy minority.
