Bullying at vocational school
PEŠOVÁ, Olga
The topic of this bachelor thesis ``bullying at apprentice training schools{\crq}q is becoming more and more discussed these days. One of the main reasons of this trend is the constant media attention regarding the given topic. Cases of bullying and aggression are very often presented not only on television and in newspaper but also on the Internet. What is considered highly alarming is the fact that the age of aggressively behaving young people and children is continually dropping. I think that, as in the majority of interpersonal problems, the origin of this conduct is to be found in negative aspects of family upbringing. In my experience, most of the bullies grew up in families that were either incomplete or dysfunctional. The outcome of these findings is the content of the bachelor thesis here presented. In the theoretical part, I focus on the exact definition of bullying, aggressor and victim, on the specificities in children and youth, as well as on the definition of the family unit and its function. In the practical part, it was my goal to asses the extent of bullying at the Apprentice School in Třešť and to inquire into the connection between this kind of behavior and family upbringing. The research in the practical part was conducted through quantitative questionnaires for the students of the school and semi-standardized interviews with the teachers and staff. As an illustration, at the end of the practical part a case of one of the students at the Apprentice School in Třešť is presented. The research has revealed that the most important condition for a harmonic development of the child is an appropriate upbringing in his/her family without unnecessary punishments and without pathological symptoms in the functioning of the family.

In theoretical part I am going to define and explain the basic concepts and focus on monitoring the sources of this social pathological phenomenon. At first I describe bullying theory and how it is revealed. Its reasons, authentic features, transmission forms and consequences. Then I am going to pay attention to a characterization of aggressors, the victims of bullying and their families. The end of the theoretical part treats the preventive forms of bullying and shows how to cope with it. In practical part I am going to trace a contemporary situation through a questionnaire at schools. The practical part is composed of investigative research that was carried out in four primary schools with 282 respondents from the third grade up to the fifth one. All results of this research are graphically depicted and evaluated. This thesis is defined to all contemporary and future teachers and of course to parents as their children could be exposed to these problems at the schools.

KORTIŠOVÁ, Jana
The occurrence of selected risk behaviour of some pupils of the primary education school system Abstract of the Bachelor Thesis The task of my thesis is to map and analyse the occurrence of selected risk and addictive behaviour in the population of primary education pupils in primary schools in České Budějovice region. In the theoretical part of my thesis I explain the term risk behaviour and its aetiology. I also describe various types of risk behaviour, which I have divided into drug and non-drug addictions and I characterize the period of adolescence here. For attainment of outlined goals are by quantitative research in a form of an anonymous questionnaire gathered data at six primary schools in České Budějovice. On the basis of these data are investigated the experience of pupils with selected risk and addictive behaviour. Nominally it refers to experience of pupils with alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, bullying, gambling and using computer and internet. Basing on my research I also verify three prospective hypotheses. Hypothesis No. 1: Pupils have the first experience with legal addictive drugs before the age of twelve. This hypothesis was verified. Hypothesis No. 2: Pupils have first experience with illegal addictive drugs before the age of fourteen. Also here was the hypothesis verified. Hypothesis No. 3 claims: Absolute majority of primary education pupils have in the course of school attendance come across bullying. This hypothesis was disproved. From my research results no more than 34 % interviewed pupils came across bullying. The results of my bachelor thesis can be used for the needs of further research or for the needs of education and can be part of a preventive process in school system. The results can be also used for a better measure of informedness about selected risk behaviour of children and adolescents. Supervisor of the Bachelor Thesis: Mgr. Aggression in children and youth
FICALOVÁ, Barbora
The topic of my thesis {\clqq}Aggression in children and youth`` has become a heavily discussed issue recently. One of the reasons for this fact is the increasing concern of media about the problems. Cases of children aggression are often presented in the television news, posted on the Internet or discussed in newspapers. The most alarming fact is the decreasing age of young aggressors. The theoretical section of my thesis is focused on the phenomenon of pathological aggression, its classification, forms, the theory of aggression and reasons for its origination. Bullying (peer abuse) is one of the most common forms of children and youth aggression and therefore I cover the issue in one entire chapter. Together with new technologies bullying is transformed into new forms such as cyberbullying which is also briefly mentioned in the thesis. The objectives of my thesis are to learn the causes of children and youth aggression, the influence of aggression on the social adaptation of an individual, problems and consequences of the aggressive behaviour. The research was conducted in an educational facility for young aggressors where teenage girls aged 15 {--} 18 years with serious behaviour disorders and educational problems are placed. The typical behavioural problem in these teenage girls is aggression. So I did not conduct the research in the prevailing population. To keep anonymity, instead of the interview method the questionnaire method and the obtained data analysis were used. Owing to the small number of teenage girls willing or able to fill in the questionnaires, 10 questionnaires were filled in correctly and completely. The most important finding of the research was the fact that all the teenage girls questioned, who show an aggressive behaviour, were themselves exposed to aggression in childhood, most often in the form of home violence in the primary family, but also in an educational facility or at school in the form of peer abuse. This early experience influences the later used behavioural formulas and recognized values. It is possible to say that the fundamental prerequisite for the harmonious development of a child is a good education with an absence both of excessive punishment and pathology in the family.
Behaviour disorders - bullying
VLKOVÁ, Kateřina
Aggression and bullying currently represent a threat that is present in children´s lives from the early years of school attendance and can aggravate with their age. The problem does not concern the children alone but also the adults and the whole society. The aim of this thesis titled Behaviour disorders {--} bullying was to find out what the experience with bullying was among the 9th graders of cooperating basic schools in Tábor, as well as to describe how these problems are dealt with by the teachers at the schools in question. Dealing with these problems and stopping vexation at the level of the entire society is a complicated, long-term process. It is necessary to start the education early and familiarise the children with moral and social rules. The inevitable precondition is the cooperation of all subjects involved in this process. They have to be informed on the causes, forms, prevention methods and consequences related to the problem.
Mobing and bossing the workplace
MANETHOVÁ, Jana
Mobbing and bossing represent vexation at a workplace, which unfortunately affects also health care and health care teams. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out knowledge of the terms mobbing and bossing, as well as occurrence of vexation at neurosurgical departments (Intensive Care Unit, SIP and two standard departments) in the Nemocnice na Homolce hospital in Prague. In order to fulfill these aims and hypotheses, the method of quantitative data collection by means of questionnaires was chosen. The questionnaires were filled out by physicians, medical nurses and medical attendants, both by women and men. The aims of the work were fulfilled. It followed from the results of the survey, that almost one third of respondents was not familiar with the terms mobbing and bossing, or they could not define them accurately. It was found out after mapping the occurrence of vexation at workplaces that a majority of informants did not know, where they should turn in case of occurrence of mobbing and bossing. The first hypothesis on more extensive occurrence of vexation towards women than men was confirmed. The second hypothesis regarding the knowledge of how to fight mobbing and bossing was not confirmed, as the respondents were not familiar with possibilities of how to cope effectively with vexation at a workplace. After the review of all filled-out questionnaires it followed that in case of occurrence of mobbing and bossing the leaving from work is preferred more than active defense against colleagues, or superiors. We believe that a workshop on the topic of mobbing and bossing would be welcomed by a majority of respondents. They would clarify for themselves the difference between vexation and powers of superiors, but also possibilities of active defense.
Preventive programs aimed at bullying
PULTAROVÁ, Lucie
Abstract The bachelor thesis ``Preventive programs aimed at bullying{\crqq} contains a theoretical part and a practical one. The theoretical part explains basic concepts related to bullying and a prevention of this phenomenon. Then it informs on a hazard of individual forms and grades of bullying, principles of diagnosis and preventive actions. It also introduces specific prevention programs and projects, which have been or are being implemented in the Czech Republic, there are set out information and basic ideas of the programs. There are also mentioned various organizations dealing with the problem of bullying. In the practical part there are presented results from the qualitative research carried out at elementary schools in České Budějovice, Třeboň, Zliv and Nové Hrady. An analysis of free written essays was used as a technique for data collecting. Respondents were pupils of the second level from mentioned elementary schools who worked up above stated free written essays. They experience of bullying should have been described by them in those essays. A goal of the thesis was to map experience of pupils from the second level of elementary schools with bullying and to analyse their spontaneous written statements on bullying through research questions dealing with both experience and also awareness of pupils on forms of bullying and a hazard rate of its individual forms. Our analysis was based on the assumption, that the pupils used a projection during their writing, thus they projected their real experiences into their stories. The research suggests the following conclusions: Respondents in their works mostly mentioned as a victim of bullying a pupil from whom an aggressor demanded the money. The most frequently mentioned is a blended form of bullying that means a combination of physical and verbal forms. Respondents describe that the victim confer with the problem itself or bullying was reported by a classmate, who knew about it and then it was solved. When it was reported in a short time, everything went well, but as the second mentioned option, a solution of bullying only after the apparent injury of the victim, is mentioned. The results of the thesis demonstrate a level of awareness of the pupils from the second level of elementary schools on individual forms of bullying and their hazards. Findings learned from the works could be an instruction how to proceed in similar situations and how to prevent them.
The Causes of School Fear
LANGOVÁ, Martina
My bachelor thesis addresses fear of school, especially its causes. It also briefly defines scolinophobia and anxiety related to fear. The causes of school fear are divided into three ranges: child´s personality, family and school environment. The causes of school fear should be sought within the individual himself, but also in the family. I concentrate especially on education of children, which can have the effect of arousing fear. The biggest part on the origin of fear has the school environment itself. The relationship of the child and the teacher is mentioned here, and also the influence and effect of the peer group on an individual.
