Title: Freedom as a basic human necessity and demand The dissertation presents not traditional view of human freedom and its sense in different periods and cultures in four main chapters. It describes human freedom as a gift from the Creator; the freedom as a connection of true and responsibility. Then it is focused on human freedom as a demand which persists of all centuries and leads into the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Finally, the work presents the Catholic view to human freedom with all consequences for the last fifty years. The thesis gathers mainly from historical resources but the last chapter is based on the latest statement of magisterium. The author used monographic and analytic-syntactical methods. The process is based on the comparison of information covered in books or empirical investigations. The work was created from the catholic view having respect to its use also between people without or with other religion. Key words: human freedom, human rights, responsibility, the true.
