The topic of this diploma thesis is the issue of self-styling and self-identification in the life of each individual in regards to social networks, provided from a theoretical, didactic and artistic point of view. Self-styling and self-identification are a natural part of the mental development of each human being. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on the origin and development of an individual's identity from childhood to adulthood. It monitors changes in the development and acceptance of oneself, which is caused by the regular use of social networks. This part of the thesis also deals with the effects of social networks on the development of identity in adolescents and children of preschool and early school age. It also opens up the topic of communication through social networks and the presentation of individuals while "being" in cyberspace. The next part of the thesis, issuing an artistic point of view, is addressing the matter of revealing one's own identity through mirroring, using the medium of photography. The art part captures this issue specifically in the photograph of oneself, also known as a selfie. With the help of gallery education, many possibilities of depicting life transcendence through a selfie are revealed. The inspiration for this particular part came from the work...
